I am wondering and wanting to get Xroads to work with Map Enhancement, I installed Xroads as prescribed, but it doesn't work, and I can't understand the context of how it works.  Map Enhancement doesn't start with zOrtho scenery layers so I'm wondering if there might be a method to "make it so".  I notice that many smaller roads with Map Enhancement are paved into the mountains into places that they look poor and take away the immersion.

Anyone out there have any insight into this?

I asked the same question on this thread and it's supposed to work but to be honest I don't think I can tell the difference.

In the xRoads directory in Custom Scenery folder, there is a library.txt file.  In there type in the line 'REGION_ALL".  This will remove the autogen roads.  However, I am getting occasional errors in some places with the SimHeaven sceneries, but if you don't use these it should work ok.

If anyone knows why I get errors with SimHeaven I would appreciate it 👍

I don't see any difference in MET at all, and I do use SimHeaven otherwise we have to live with much poorer autogen.

So SimHeaven may be the issue?  I will disable NA for instance and try it that way.  However, I would prefer not to loose my SimHeaven autogen.

Xroads works perfect here using map enhancement pro, and sim heaven. I have Xroads right at the top of my scenery.ini file.

I'll give that a go thanks.  At the moment I get to certain areas and XP12 crashes with a missing scenery message.

A little weird - I copied your libary.txt into the xRoads folder, launched XP12 and it worked - no more autogen roads.  On the next launch of XP12, all the autogen roads were back. Checked the library.txt and still the same.  I copied and pasted the library.txt again and it worked.

Every single second load of XP12, the autogen roads are back!  xRoads at the very top of the scenery_packs.ini as instructed.

That is weird.  I have the identical library.txt and it never works...but I will try the cut and paste as see what happens.

I tried this as posted above...it causes my sim to CTD, it won't launch.

After rerunning the exe again, I still have paved roads all over the place and climbing up mountains where there should be none...it's a fail for me.  I don't have a solution, frustrating because I think the sim would look better if it did work.

My problem was having True earth installed for the Autogen.  I have disabled that so I just have SimHeaven for the Autogen.

I doubled clicked xRoads.exe to get the xRoads folder in the Custom scenery folder.  I replaced the library.txt file with Ian's version and it worked fine.

The roads do look a lot better.

What add-ons are you using as one of them may be causing the issue?

Gees, I have tons of freeware, some payware in there...I guess the true test would be to move everything over to the custom scenery disabled folder and add back one by one or by groups...I do not have trueearth whatever that is.

Just use the true earth invisible roads feature. 

OK now I get it, you folks are talking about Orbx True Earth sceneries.
