V021- Voices disappeared

I have integrated all my Cereproc voices and all voices are also displayed - I have also sound-tested everything!
However, after a short time only one voice is output - the names of the respective (supposedly) used voices are displayed, but the sound is always only from the same voice - as far as I could see, the voice of the selected copilot is used for everything !

If a voice fails to load, P2A uses one of the 2 default voices. Microsoft David or Microsoft Zira.

Based on your description, something has gone wrong with the Cereproc voices. Reinstalling them might fix it.

No, the Cereproc Voices seem to be OK, it looks more like P2Atc has a problem with them!
I use the Cereproc Voices in other programs without any problems!
The Cerproc Voices are played back in P2ATC, but often only one voice for EVERYTHING!

By the way: will there be an update for version 3 soon?
Unfortunately, I can't use version 0.2.1 at all at the moment:
strange vectoring, I often receive descent instructions shortly after takeoff...
I was already afraid that P2ATC3 would no longer be developed because there has been complete radio silence!
Please tell me that's not the case 😉

Cereproc voices have an issue with being loaded and unloaded as P2A does with voices. In the past, they had to create versions that would work in this situation. I would recommend contacting Cereproc about versions of their voices that work with Pilot2ATC. As I recall, it had something to do with buffering or something.

2.2 is coming out soon and should fix the issue you're talking about, along with a lot of others.

Unfortunately, the anticipation has evaporated.
Now I can't hear any voices at all!
I can only hear Atis, no co-pilots or controllers – just text!
I'm on 0.2.2A ...

At least the voices all worked great in earlier versions – I'm starting to get a little annoyed...

If you send a screenshot of your Voices tab of Settings and of the main program screen when you are trying to speak to a controller, I might be able to help.

Also, please send the P2A log file after you've interacted with a controller a few times.

P2A Log files are located in:

C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\P2A_300\Logs

where <UserName> is your PC user name.

Portions of the path may be hidden by default, so be sure Windows Explorer has Show Hidden Items checked in the View tab.

The most recent file after you shut down P2A will be the one I need.

Hi, this happened to me to. Downloaded voices dropped out. Check Voices tab under Settings and test your voices. I found that only the standard voices were working..eg Zira, James etc. So I ended deleting the voices that did not work because if P2Atc chooses a voice that isn't working, you wnd up with silence.

I have now deleted all cereproc voices on a trial basis (but this cannot be a permanent solution).

Result: I can hear voices again, but unfortunately always the same one...

Even when testing the voices, only the same voice is displayed – but with the corresponding (correct) name!
The log file is only available from the voice test – but after a few attempts, I finally closed the programme 😞

Thanks for the tip!
But deleting all my voices is definitely not a solution to the problem for me 😞
But thankfully, I have all the other ATC programmes installed (Pf3, FSHUD, BATC) that I can use 😉
I just wanted to see if p2atc v3 was usable now, but...well...

The silence from online voices is usually because the internet connection is too slow or the specific server serving the voices for you is not processing them fast enough, so the voice does not play and then one of the local voices is used or there is silence instead.

Pressing the Reload button in the Voice Definition and Editing area might resolve the issue if it is being caused by a problem with the online voice definitions stored by P2A. And also, try pressing the "Apply to All" button next to the volume to be sure all the voices have the indicated voice setting. I have mine all at 90%, but set them all to 100% for testing.

Thousands of users are using just the Microsoft voices, including me. But some users are also using the Standard AWS voices. There are quite a few Standard voices that are "free" for the first year. AWS Polly voices are played via a totally separate mechanism. You do have to get an account with AWS. It's basically free for the first year, using the Standard voices, and then a nominal charge after that, based on usage. Here's a link to the pricing page that also has links for getting started. Yes, unfortunately I noticed that. I deleted all onlinevoices (after uninstalling all cereproc) – now nothing works anymore...
(If I have to delete all voices for the program to work, that doesn't make sense to me...)
My requests via Copilot are simply ignored, no response... !?
I know that one thing has nothing to do with the other, but for me, that's it with P2ATC for now . I will wait until a reasonably stable version is released—in the meantime, I will use other products for ATC...

Please don't get me wrong, Dave! I really appreciate your commitment, but at the moment I'm more into “tinkering” and trying things out than flying, and that's not what I want!

I am back to version 2 and the voices are working as they should. I am also missing the voices in version 3. Are the "voice eingines" different in version 2 and 3 respectively?

V3 only uses Random voices, so if you have the non-functional Online voices in the mix, you'll not get voices on many calls.

Follow the instructions in the following post to get voices back in V3.
