Old age in Russia

Featured Replies

Thanks for this.  I felt all of those.

The backgrounds were interesting, too.  Was that an electric meter inside one person's house?

I watch a lot of meme and animal videos and see the BoredPanda tag on still pics a lot.  Now I know where the originals came from.  I think I'll be going to the source now.  One of my recent favorites was dogs.  This is the original (not related to Russian elderly but worth viewing).  There are actually 141 pics instead of the original 50, and this link should show all of them.

I couldn't find the picture with a heater inside the house.

Hardware: i7-8700k, GTX 1070-ti, 32GB ram, NVMe/SSD drives with lots of free space.
Software: latest Windows 10 Pro, P3Dv4.5+, FSX Steam, and lots of addons (100+ mostly Orbx stuff).

It's number 11, in the upper right.

There is a heater in number 7.  😄

That's a wall mounted heater in #11?  That is one strange looking heater. I would never have guessed.

Very interesting. Thank you.

Silly @bofhlusr!  That's Meter, not Heater. 😄 😄  See my original post.  You are forgiven.

I've seen pictures of electric meters with the two ceramic terminals at the top, but it's a very old design.

Oh!  I did an image search and apparently the round ceramic thingies at the top are fuses.  I seem to remember seeing old fuses that were ceramic like that, possibly in Germany.

The fuses in a Mercedes were ceramic, with  fusible metal strips on the outside.  Not sure if it was the same in Mercedes in America... never had a problem with those.  I had a 230S when I was stationed in Germany.

As an old person myself I can only say, MAGNIFICENT!

The tires are worn.  The shocks are shot.  The steering is wobbly.  But the engine still runs fine.
