After SU3 - 4 immersion killers

Featured Replies

Inspired by a post here about SU3, here's a list of things that should have been fixed by now with the release of SU3.

These are four immersion killers which I don't think any 3rd party add-on can or will ever be able to fix.

Posted March 2024 (before MSFS 2024 was released on Nov 19, 2024):

1. Dark lines on the water. To check for yourself take-off from KSFO, fly north to San Francisco and fly around the city.

2. Ground personnel walking through parked aircraft.

3. Non-functional windshield wipers. Toggle Windshield Effects in Settings, turn-on precipitation and launch the King Air 350.

4. No pilot-controlled lighting (PCL).

Hardware: i7-8700k, GTX 1070-ti, 32GB ram, NVMe/SSD drives with lots of free space.
Software: latest Windows 10 Pro, P3Dv4.5+, FSX Steam, and lots of addons (100+ mostly Orbx stuff).

Not another one of these. Just add it into the other posts discussing the issues with the sim, no need to create a whole new one.

Anything and everything with, and after SU3, should be under that one post?

If theres a very similar post right on the very first page, absoloutley. Even more so when there are plenty more posts on the following pages already discussing issues with SU3.

If we go off what you're trying to get at, we will definelty have to sift through I'd say 3-4 pages of su3 problem topics before getting to anything else.

It can get confusing because there is this post also about SU3 which has a comment by one of the moderators and as far as I can tell has not yet been hidden, locked or deleted. I guess the subject of redundancy would be up to other moderators...

It’s not a question of if it’s redundant or not, there’s just no reason for a topic for every single detail when there are topics already discussing. By your logic should he have created a different topic for every point they just listed? ^

That comment speaks volumes.

As we have seen with the other thread, half the issues people were complaining about didn't actually exist, so the only thing it is a marker of is how 'not clever' people are.
