PMDG 777F sounds

Featured Replies

I think it is well documented that some of the PMDG 777 sounds in MSFS 2020 (and I assume MSFS 2024) are rather disappointing, and I am well aware that a sound upgrade package is in development. However, I would like to know if anyone else is not hearing any sounds whatsoever during touchdown and rollout with the current implementation? I have tested my 777F several times recently, and all I hear is a very slight "swish" when the main gear makes contact with the runway, nothing whatsoever when the nose gear comes down, and no rollout sounds (rumbles/rattles etc).

Is this issue exclusive to my installation of the 777, or are others experiencing this problem? It is a massive immersion breaker for me. Realistic sounds are so important in flight simulation, but at the moment my 777F feels rather lifeless

I've not experienced this. But, haven't flown since the last update.

Try uninstalling/reinstalling maybe?

Yes, zero sounds on touchdown. Filed a ticket months ago and they closed it saying known issue. Until they release the new sounds, I consider my purchase a waste of money. Lack of any sounds like you mention make the plane useless. Only consolation is I’m done buying their third and fourth rehash of the same plane with no real innovation when compared to some others out there.

All I got was a sarcastic response after I posted about it.

No surprises there, their forum is as toxic as they come.
