SU3 - unwanted passenger in career VIP mode

Featured Replies

An extremely strange one.

I start a career mission in VIP mode, invite the passengers in, I get the animation of them walking to the aircraft (Cessna 400), they take their seats, but there is another passenger standing at the trailing edge of the right wing just outside the fuselage.  And walking on the spot.

This mysterious passenger stays with the aircraft for the rest of the flight - quite disconcerting when you're at 12,000 ft.

This didn't happen before SU3.  Yes, I've deleted all the shaders and rebuilt the rolling cache.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Is William Shatner one of the passengers?

Standing at the trailing edge of the right wing just outside the fuselage eh? I think i've seen him before myself, perhaps it was the same man, was he smoking a cigar, wearing a hat, and suspiciously moving around?

Asobo seems to break that for random airplanes every time they release a sim update, but it does seem to get fixed if you report it as a bug on the official forums.

Yes I had this happen in SU3 as well. Seemed to be with specific planes - the 400 TT for one.

it’s fixed in SU4 beta, and try a different plane in SU3.
