October 15, 2025Oct 15 I have lost all access to my Stream Decks while using MSFS2024 and AAO. This is completely my fault as I feel I went down the wrong path in trying to fix it. At first I thought it might have been a Windows 11 update from yesterday, so I rolled that back but no change. I think where I made a mistake in AAO was in the Hardware Change dialog. I may have accidentally deleted the entries under "Configured Devices in database". They are not showing up under "Connected Devices" either. Any assistance would be appreciated if there may be a way to recover from this error. Thanks in advance...
October 15, 2025Oct 15 Commercial Member StreamDecks don't show in AAO at all, the app doesn't see them as input devices. You are on the wrong path there, looking inside AAO - StreamDecks are completely independent, the underlying Elgato software is accessing AAOs WebAPI. Check Firewall and AntiVirus, see if the WebAPI port has been blocked. Edited October 15, 2025Oct 15 by Lorby_SI LORBY-SI
October 15, 2025Oct 15 Hi to all! I've the same problem starting this morning. Yesterday I used AAO with streamdeck plugin without problems (as I've been doing the pasts weeks). Now it won't connect. I haven't changed anything. Rechecked ports, disabled firewall, check AAO running as admin: nothing. Running netstat shows app listenin on default port 43380. Seems not a problem of the streamdeck plugin, I think entire webapi is not accesible despite having the green lights. I'm only using AAO for streamdeck; how can I check if webapi is accesible? Now I'm with AAO 4.55b26, StreamDeck software 7.0.3 and StreamDeck+ hardware. Thanks in advance. October 15, 2025Oct 15 Exactly the same here, yesterday everything works. Now I Am searching for Hours, nothing Helps and everything seems to work. But no Connection from SD to AAO, Ports Change, Clean Install, Windows Defender Check, Port forewarding, nothing helps. Edited October 15, 2025Oct 15 by Sirtakis92

This is obviously not something in the AAO app or in the StreamDeck. Must be Windows or some new security feature that came with the latest Win11 update. Is that Win 11 production or are you in the Windows Insider Beta program? I've installed all pending Windows (production) updates yesterday, and updated the StreamDeck software too (v7x) - no issues whatsoever on my end. I will try it on other PCs too. October 16, 2025Oct 16 Author I would never have thought there would be so many affected by whatever has happened. As I said earlier I did roll back the latest Windows 11 update with still the same result. I have also checked the firewall for blocked ports 43380, 43381 and did not see this. I created new rules allowing those ports just in case. This was never required on my system previously and had been working just great previously. In checking this morning, I see the AAO FIP Panel has a red line around it, would that be a clue?
October 16, 2025Oct 16 Hello, I have/had the same issue (but no real solution). After Windows patches yesterday und Microsoft Store App updates no communication between AAO and streamdeck any more. I checked and disabled the firewall, no change. I also tested WebPages -> timeout. So it is not only affecting StreamDeck. I rolled back to a Windows restore point from last sunday, and now everything is normal again. Of course, this is just a preliminary workaround. Seems to be a tricky thing. Edit: I just found this topic (there was a post in a german forum VFR-Flightsimmer.de , saying that is a problem with recent patches concerning http/localhost. It refers to an elvatex forum, there is also a possible solution described. I will test it an give a feedback here. Next Edit: I repeated the Windows Update procedure (after the previously roll back), but now everything is fine. Perhaps the Patches have been fixed in the meantime? I do not know. October 16, 2025Oct 16 Commercial Member If it is about "localhost", one solution could be to use either the local IP address or "127.0.0.1" for WebAPI communications. For the StreamDeck the URL is in "C:\Users\...\AppData\Roaming\Elgato\StreamDeck\Plugins\com.lorbysi.aao.sdPlugin\settings.js" (the StreamDeck software must be restarted after this change - when in doubt, restart the PC) I'm not certain, but in the old days one could (sometimes had to) edit the file "C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts" to make the computer understand "localhost" as the local address. October 16, 2025Oct 16 I can add my name to this problem as well only happened after numerous windows updates yesterday. there is a newwer version of streamdeck out 7.0.3 (22071) but this has not resolved the issue. This obviously has nothing to do with AAO but appreciate you offering any help. 🙏 Brian Thomas MSFS2020/24, Intel i9-14900K, GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER Panther OC 16GB GDDR6X, MSI MAG Z790 TOMAHAWK WIFI (LGA 1700) DDR5, Corsair Vengeance RGB 64GB (2X32GB) DDR5 5600MHz, BenQ PD3205U 32” UHD monitor, Win 11 Pro 64-bit,
October 16, 2025Oct 16 My issue is gone in a magical way: Yesterday Night I installed 7.0.0. of StreamDeck, and made some Windows Updates. Frustrated I went to bed. This Morning I want to search again for a Solution and the issue was gone and the stream deck was working again. I does Not Change anything Else, so I think it was a bug in a windows update.
October 16, 2025Oct 16 Author My Stream Decks are now functioning as expected! I changed: AAO - Configure WebAPI Port from StreamDeck Plugin IP:localhost To actual IP Address of the PC. As @Lorby_SI stated you must exit the Stream Deck App in order to make the change. Apply the change, then reboot the PC after exiting FS and AAO. Now I just need to see if it survives the Windows updates. Will report back later... Windows updates applied, Stream Decks are still working in Flight Sim. That was a full day of frustration for me and I am still not sure what the issue was but it is working now. Thanks everyone! Edited October 16, 2025Oct 16 by HardCat55
October 16, 2025Oct 16 After googling it today I've found a lot of forums with people complaining about this error that blocked completely web services on local host. How can the Microsoft guys screw things up so much? I've applied a solution from stackoverflow.com (https://stackoverflow.com/questions/79790827/localhost-applications-failing-after-installing-2025-10-cumulative-update-for-w). It worked for me. Temporary fix without uninstalling KB5066835: In the registry, navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\HTTP\Parameters Under the Parameters folder, right-click in the right-hand pane and select New > DWORD (32-bit) Value. Name the value EnableHttp2Tls and set its data to 0 (zero). Repeat the process to add another value named EnableHttp2Cleartext and set its data to 0. Restart the machine. Greetings and happy simming! October 16, 2025Oct 16 Commercial Member About changing the IP address in the WebAPI URL - you can also do that in AAO itself. 1. Shut down the StreamDeck Software (Open the System Tray -> right-click on the StreamDeck icon -> last option should be "Shutdown..." 2. In AAO, go to "Tools->Configure WebAPI Port" 3. Use the checkboxes to select all apps that you want to change the address for 4. Press "Set local IP" 5. Press "Apply". LORBY-SI

Don't know why but changing AAO (and SD plugin) address to 127.0.0.1 or my local IP 192.168.1.xx did not work for me yesterday. Today I directly tried the solution I posted...
