I have fixed this many times in the past but thanks for reminding me: I found two entries that had somehow reverted to being ticked. I shall have another look tomorrow and see if it has made a difference, Intel i7 6700K @4.3. 32gb Gskill 3200 RAM. Z170x Gigabyte m/b. 28" LG HD monitor.
