October 27, 2025Oct 27 Hi, Lately, I've noticed that increasing or decreasing the audio volume causes the brightness to change (the highest level is extremely bright). I don't have any idea what is the cause of it, but it is very annoying. Any clue? Has anyone noticed anything similar? Greetings
October 27, 2025Oct 27 Author Hi, again, I think I've solved resetting everything in System > Sound to default. I don't know what was the culprit. Regards

October 27, 2025Oct 27 Sounds like a double binding.... or were you changing volume using menu? (in which case double binding couldn't be responsible). Hi, I usually change the volume with my Logitech keyboard which it has a little roller on it. But I’ve never experimented that before. It’s something very weird. The solution (I hope!) was to reset everything related with sound in Windows 11. Now everything seems to be ok. Greetings.

That roller was then likely associated with a sim command to increase brightness/luminosity . or if it was causing Windows itself to become more or less bright, it was tied to screen brightness somehow, and your resetting stuff removed that link. 9800X3d, 4090, 64 GB DDR5 6000 RAM, 4 TB NVME (2x2), 4K Ultra + Framegen

So, I have to minimize the game, then go to Configuration, System, Sound and reset again everything to the default! But it is crazy, because I didn’t change anything. Why does it happen? Something strange is happening! Greetings!

I think it's most likely the case that, as someone else said above, the keyboard's volume control will be using a 'hidden' key assignment to manipulate the sound on the PC..... and that key assignment will also be assigned to the brightness (exposure) setting in MSFS. The solution might be a new keyboard - or to use PC's sound volume slider in the bottom right hand of the windows desktop ('toolbar'). October 29, 2025Oct 29 Author Hi, I’m not completely sure, yet, but today I did some tests. One of them was to activate Hdr in game and deactivate automatic hdr. So far so good, because I did several flights and the issue seems to have disappeared. The only additional thing I had to do was to reduce the brightness a bit in the msfs settings, because hdr is too bright. Now the logitech roller (which, by the way, is very useful) doesn’t change the brightness of my screen. Cross my fingers! Greetings
