After clicking on the GSX icon I get the message "departure clearance requested" and then NOTHING. I have uninstalled and reinstalled GSX numerous times but to no avail. Posted on fs dreamteam forum but no response yet. Using latest GSX version and FS 2024 latest beta version. Any suggestions please?

you be better off posting  in their gsx discord usually get a response pretty quickly

I had issues with GSX since the last 1.6.3.1 update. When I try to use GSX all I got was a large spinning circle. When that happens, I have to restart the COUATL from the app, then GSX works as should.

take it your referring  to the msfs 2024 beta update  and not the gsx beta channel, since its beta you can expect some issues

no issue whatsoever, the SU4 beta is all what we are using every day at fsdt

I’m haven’t been responding to forum posts for a few days, not just yours, and that doesn’t mean anything other than another update is coming, with a brand new feature.

No, because I can't reproduce it, and you can see plenty of videos on Youtube made with the latest version where departure starts normally. But you don't say anything about which airplane you are using, because some of them might have extra constraints before departure can start, like removing chocks, covers, etc.

I guess I'm doing something wrong, Because with the Fenix, PMDG, Citation X and some others, when I start GSX in the sim all I get is the large spinning circle. Until I start the Couatl app out side of the sim, then I get the GSX loading for few minutes then all works as should.
