Does that mean that works like kind of a pause Button?

So switch to the desired view, align it to my liking and than toggle to manipulate switches and then toggle again.
Then SP would be a buy for me.

Yes.

Menu-Preferences-Camera Behaviours-Keep position when HT toggled.

Okay then i think i could be a satisfied customer
That was one think i likes in X-plane and missed in MSFS

It's a setting in Menu-Preferences-Control Assignments-Toggle Head Tracking.

Found it, many thanks for your help

Welp, I tried everything last night and couldn't get the head tracking reset binding to work. Did it again this evening and it works now. No idea what was going on but I now have the same key binding for CP to turn on head tracking and the MSFS to reset head tracking so whenever I turn it on it resets to my current head position. Works seamlessly.

I have the Reset Head Tracking bound in the sim and the Toggle Head Tracking bound in Chase Plane - works as expected.

You can also set Chase Plane to leave camera in current position when toggling.

For some reason this is not working for me.  I've tried several different key bindings for RESET EYE TRACKING and also have it bound to a joystick button that selects the ChasePlane pilot view but every time I turn head tracking on I end up behind the pilot's seat.  I've opened up a ticket with //42 but it's the holidays so I'm sure it will be a while before I get a reply.

Thanks for all the replies and Happy Holidays!

I would not use the same button for both commands. Reset Head Tracking usually needs two pushes to centre/reset the view. It basically just tells Tobii that your current camera position is your new default head position; it doesn't move the camera position.

Use one button to select pilot view and another to reset head tracking (might need two pushes).

It seems to work fine using Opentrack instead of the native MSFS 2024 bindings.  I'll just use that for now.

Any luck yet with CP and tobii?

Also, what settings do you use in opentrack?

Cheers

I've got a ticket in with //42.  They are looking into it.

My OpenTrack settings are pretty much from IslandSim's YouTube video with a bit of tweaking.
