Why does TOPCAT keep asking for activation?

Featured Replies

I have the license and its legit.  After moving from W10 to W11, every time U start the app it bugs me for activation.

Thoughts please.

TOPTCAT and PFPX have been abandoned sadly. The flightsimsoft website is offline and they probably are not maintaining activation servers anymore.

Yeah I use and like SB alot, very functional now, just trying leverage past purchases as well.  But I think you may be correct.

Clarification:  TOPCAT accepts my license info and then loads but asks again everytime I start it fresh.

I use TOPCAT with Windows 11 for every flight, including just 15 minutes ago, and I'm not seeing what you're seeing. So it's not a global issue.

Perhaps TOPCAT is trying to create a file with your license info. I would start the debugging trip there... see if TOPCAT has permissions to write to files, for example.
