  1. TOPTCAT and PFPX have been abandoned sadly. The flightsimsoft website is offline and they probably are not maintaining activation servers anymore. https://www.flightsimsoft.com/ Simbrief reigns supreme.
  2. I don't know but I was just selected to participate in the technical alpha! Testing ends on Monday 10/14 at 12:00am PT.
  3. +1 for Stardock Start 11. I've been using it since the Windows 8 "start menu" dumpster fire. Been using it ever since. Also, be warned. If you do a clean install of Windows 11 24H2, Microsoft now takes the liberty of enabling bit locker by default. Good times. Of course if you jump through all the hoops and setup Windows using a local account. Bit Locker can't encrypt because Windows is unable to store the backup bitlocker encryption key to your Microsoft account. LOL. I swear the only reason I still use Windows is because of MSFS.
  4. I’ve read through this thread for a while now and thought I would give this app a try. I’ve done several flights now with it. The results are truly amazing. The software is absolutely brilliant. @Reset XPDR thank you for this gift of improved performance and visuals.
  5. Are you using Nvidia Inspector to override the Antialiasing setting? If you are, disable to overrides and try using just the native P3D antialiasing settings.
  6. Thanks Robert! It's exciting times. Thank you for supporting Prepar3D v3!
  7. I believe it is well worth it to upgrade to P3D v3. Not only would you be supporting Lockheed Martin to further develop the platform even further, you would also be supporting the 3rd party developers who produce the add-ons we love. FSX is what it is. It will never improve. Microsoft killed it years ago. Why not make the move over to a platform which is actively under development? Its the way of the future! You don't need to purchase all the add-ons all at once. You can migrate slowly to stay within budget. All you need to get started is P3D V3 and your favorite PMDG aircraft. Good Luck!
  8. Hello again, To be fair, I realized I had a few additional addons that don't exactly support Prepar3D V3 at this time. I was running EZdok, which we all know isn’t exactly the most stable software. I was also running Active Sky Next SP3 Beta which supposedly "supports" P3D V3. I also had FSUIPC version 4.944 installed. Im not sure if it officially supports P3D v3 or not. I was able to install it ok without issue. So as a test, I completely uninstalled the NGX, all the addons, and P3D V3. I then reinstalled P3D v3 and just the NGX by itself. No other addons. Results you ask? The error I posted originally does not occur anymore. I can easily pop out any window without error. I’m still interested if anyone else experienced the original error I posted above. Thanks Benjamin Nash
  9. Hello All, Whenever I click on a display such as the CDU, PFD, ND, etc... to "pop" it out in Prepar3d V3 I recieve the following error. "Error creating child window" I can click ok to dismiss the error however I cannot interact with the popped out window. My clicks go through the window and interact with things behind the window. I can close the pop out window by clicking the center of the blanked display on the main panel. The x in the upper right had corner does not respond and does not close the window once this error happens. I attempted to attach a picture of the error but Im not sure how to do it. Here is a link to my drop box. https://www.dropbox.com/s/hl4d3ifmx2agsci/error.PNG My PC specs are in my signature and Im running Windows 10. Any thoughts? Prepar3D V3 bug or 737NGX in Prepar3D V3 bug, or just an issue on my system? Thanks Benjamin Nash
  10. Thank You Robert & everyone at PMDG!!!
  11. Hey Mike, I am considering purchasing ProATC, but I am concerned about it's support for AI traffic. On the ProATC website they specifically mention that ground AI traffic is not managed. However I have seen some post indicating the exact opposite that in fact AI traffic is managed both on the ground and in the air. I just picked up My Traffic V6 this last weekend. I am now in need of a good OFFLINE ATC add-on. ProATC looks like the one. I don't want any AI 747's cutting me off. Thanks
  12. Thanks Dan, and your right, I didn't read the readme file. Lesson learned! I'm sure this will solve my issue. Thanks for the help
  13. Hello All, I just purchased a new graphics card and decided to nuke my entire system and start from scratch. I also took the opportunity to upgrade to Windows 8.1 which I think I may regret, but that's a another topic all together. I installed Prepar3d v2.5 and did a few tests with the default aircraft etc.. I then installed the NGX 800/900 base package. The install went fine however I was never prompted to enter my activation code. The NGX loaded up on the runway with the VC completely unusable. I thought maybe the activation prompt window was hiding behind the simulator window but I could not find it. I attempted to uninstall / reinstall the NGX again but still no activation prompt. I did open a support ticket with PMDG on the portal but thought maybe someone on the forum here might have a suggestion. I'm using the latest installer from PMDG version 1.10.6461. Thank you all in advance.
