December 29, 2025Dec 29 Alright, I've learned a lot over the last week or so. It's time for a full flight from Minneapolis, MN to Chicago, IL in the Fenix A320. I took many pics so I've got to split up the post. This is a full cold and dark, start the battery and APU and loading of fuel and people etc etc. We've also got a sweet tailwind so we'll cruise a little slower (around mach .75 or so) for fuel efficiency. I think I filed for FL310. The routing for the flight was: KMSP RST RST1 ZZIPR FYTTE7 KORD. I was originally going to fly Delta but I found this lovely JetBlue special paint. We'll push from Terminal 2 at KMSP Smell those sweet APU fumes haha We'd probably push onto the taxiway slightly so this would be a pushback with clearance from MSP Ground Control Taxi out to RY 30L with a hazy Minneapolis skyline What a beautiful plane! The always stunning Flightbeam KMSP A smooth rotation off of 30L - you can see the 133rd Airlift Wing hangars in the background - MN ANG! Sometimes you'll find a few C130s on the ramp! (This flight is from last week - we almost had a brown Christmas... but we got a snowstorm today)... MSP downtown buildings by SamScene We're on a vector from the tower and we'll eventually head towards RST We got the SID on the EFB via Jeppessen (navigraph) as we are given direct RST Should be pretty smooth rides ahead One can just make out KRST on the upper left of the frame - many fancy bizjets come to Rochester, MN for patient transport to the Mayo Clinic And this little airport is Dodge Center (KTOB), predominantly for general aviation, located to the WNW of RST Fenix has done a wonderful job with the model and textures Some opposite direction traffic whizzing by! Wow I've never noticed the contrails before - they are beautiful too! Just coming up on the intersection of the Wisconsin River and the Mississippi River. I've been to KLNR irl - it was a gusty day... might be the same down there! Looks like we didn't even do Mach .73 - that massive tailwind really helps with efficiency! I'll leave you with this pic for the end of Part 1 - wow those displays are gorgeous! | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
