Getting rid of clouds when choosing airport in 2024

I believe the cloud removal being referenced here is for the world map. So it's easier to see the runway and parking areas.

It does not matter if you choose the airport in menu or you zoom in. If you have clears skies you have no problems.

The MSFS2024-Worldmap Filter Addon Creator provides a solution for customizing the world map experience in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. This tool allows users to set their preferred filters, such as airports, cities, and navaids, which are automatically applied each time the world map is opened. It operates by creating a safe "override" addon that preserves user settings without modifying the simulators original files, ensuring compatibility even after updates.

Just reiterating that the addon creator works for getting rid of the clouds on the map.

After you clicked on Free Flight go to Flight Conditions ->> Custom Weather (Clear Skies). Then yo can easily choose your airport/gate/runway. Once in your a/c you can activate Live Weather again. Usually the sim remembers the new settings for the next start and you get Free Flight always with Clear Skies.

Thanks for the advice. that worked for me getting rid of the clouds on world map. Asobo took away that feature in the last SU. There used to be a filter option that removed the clouds, but setting weather option to clear skies works just as well.
