Last night I tried to do another flight with SSG 747 after not having flown it for a few months and I know it underwent a couple of updates recently. I am also well-aware that they rebranded as FPS and released a slightly improved version and the SSG one has now been deprecated and is no longer offered for sale, but based on Q8Pilot's review it's completely not worth it. What was startling was that I don't remember SSG being as bad as it is now.

None of the FMC logic follows Boeing logic, none of it works like it should - the flow is all messed up. You can't navigate pages easily. You have to go through index to get anywhere you need and it's just a total mess. Performance (flight-wise) is all messed up on climb - it never achieves the profile you set up in FMC as far as speeds, VNAV, any of that. Is anyone else experiencing this? I remember it being slightly rough around the edges before, but... at this point, it's utterly useless to me. I find Sparky's 747-400 to be way better at this point than the payware 747-8 from SSG to the point of wanting to remove it altogether as I can't foresee myself wanting to navigate that mess again.

What happened here? I hate to think the worst, but could the most recent "updates" purposely have made it worse so that people would spend additional money on the rebranded and improved version? Cause that would definitely not motivate me to support that developer.

I dont always like his reviews, he has a habit of jumping into things without testing them first, dont think he ever talks to developer to see if there are existing bugs and very opinionated, but at least with FPS they are improving things, as far as i am concerned those who do reviews should be talking to developers so at least they can say, :"developer aware of bug, fix on way".
