I was a Marine but I never made this trip in real life.  I did live on Kaneohe Bay from 1966 to 1968 when I was a toddler. Marines train on the Big Island of Hawaii where they get to shoot big guns. I did get to fly a C130 from Okinawa to Camp Fuji in Japan I even got to climb Mt. Fuji in 1992.
