February 24Feb 24 Several years ago, there was a product called FLAI which supplied models of numerous aircraft which were loaded in the P3D sim objects folder. When flying on Vatsim, the other aircraft in the area were displayed accurately. I know there are several products out there, but I'm looking for one that works the same way as FLAI and doesn't just randomly display AI aircraft. Any suggestions? Thanks. February 24Feb 24 I find the easiest one to use is by FSLTL. Simple and it works. https://fslivetrafficliveries.com/ Dan i9-13900K / Asus Maximus Hero Z790 / RTX 4090 FE / G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB 64 GB DDR5-6400 CL32 / Artic Liquid Freezer II 360 / Samsung 980 PRO SSD 1TB PCIe NVMe M.2 / Samsung 980 PRO SSD 2TB PCIe NVMe M.2 / Samsung 970 EVO Plus SSD 2TB PCIe NVMe M.2 / EVGA 1000W G3, 80+ Gold / Phanteks Eclipse P600S ATX Mid Tower / Arctic P14 PWM Case Fans / LG C2 42 Inch Class 4K OLED TV/Monitor / Windows 11 Pro / 1Ghz AT&T Fiber
February 24Feb 24 I'll second the recommendation for FSLTL. Only time I've seen something odd with it is if the plane was something odd or likely had something wrong in its ID info on the other user's side. Bonus for it being free as well. February 25Feb 25 I just use my AIG models and repaints and use one of the AIG Model Matching files to be found on Flightsim.to
February 25Feb 25 Author Most of the available AIG downloads I'm seeing on Flightsim.to don't appear to be compatible with MSFS 2024. Are these standalone files or are they supposed to be used with another program? I downloaded one of them, but I have no idea what to do with it. Thanks. Just download them through the AIG Manager and pick only those of airlines that fly around the area where you are planning to fly yourself. It will be quite a while and takes up lots of space if you pick all of them. Throwing in some GA packages won't hurt either. Then find a model matching file for VPilot and off you go.
February 25Feb 25 Author I installed the AIG manager and went through the setup process. I'm really not interested in installing flight plans right now. I just want to be able to see realistic online aircraft while using VATSIM. I started the sim and spawned at terminal C where I saw a few aircraft on the Navigraph map. There were also several static aircraft at other gates that were not actually on VATSIM. How do I delete these static offline aircraft? The models will also be used whenever you use any kind of traffic injection once you installed them, whether you actually use the flightplan schedule that is part of the package or not. As for getting rid of static aircraft you have to take a look into the graphic settings of the sim. There is a Quantity setting which you can set to off. Edited February 25Feb 25 by Farlis
