When I had first attempted to do an automated pushback in MSFS 2024, it did not work. What I cannot remember is if I had re-tried doing automated pushbacks after I had updated the MSFS 2024 Global settings and got the manual pushback to work (my 2nd post further up). I will give it another try. zachlog

I tried using the automated pushback and it seems to work but I think I will continue doing manual pushbacks for a couple of reasons. First, the speed of the pushback is too high for 75+ ton aircraft. It is not realistic and I don't think the the speed can be adjusted. Let me know if otherwise. Second the user interface is not very user friendly so I don't want to spend time getting that just right. For me it is not worth the effort. Manual pushback does a great job with customizing the path of the pushback and being able to manage the speed, especially when turning. Thanks zachlog

Thanks I am also using the manual pushback option as I find this another simulation experience in attempting to line the aircraft up correctly on pushback simulating what the tug driver must do. What I also like about the manual pushback mode is you can control precisely the direction and speed and also simulate a pull forward manoeuvre as well. I too just could not master the clunky UI for the pre-planned pushback so resorted to the manual pb mode instead. Works very consistently I have found. Of course the nuance for MSFS2024 is, there is no tug visible but that is a minor frustration. I just position the external viewpoint so I am directly in front of the nose gear which would be the typical view a tug driver would have.
