Just going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. Too many problems with the new Sims! 😱
Trying to keep peace and harmony and the will of Landru on the site seems to be a full time job!

The tires are worn.  The shocks are shot.  The steering is wobbly.  But the engine still runs fine.

What if our ancient Roman were to come to our time and spend a week among us?  Surely he would be impressed with the progress that has occurred over 2,000 years, beyond anything he could imagine.  Something so ordinary to us as a home.  And at this point in time, having a private toilet within a home would seem to him as a real luxury.  When he looks around this modern bathroom, something catches his eye:

A toilet brush.  And he picks it up and looks at it.  What do you imagine he's thinking?

The video says that he is a Roman citizen. The requirement for citizenship was one thing: 20 years in the army. Starting out as a young boy, every Roman boy joined the army for schooling. A tiny bit of time in Roman schools (the army) was for trivial subjects, perhaps reading or math. The main subjects taught were only two: backpacking and sword fighting and hours a day training in both. The strategy in war at that time, and earlier, was to cut off the enemy supply line. Roman armies had no supply line because absolutely everything was carried on the soldiers' backs. They could carry an astonishing amount. And for about 250 years Rome lost not a single battle. Until Hannibal arrived, Carthage was almost a match for Rome. Mustering out of the army (missio honesta) was when you became a citizen, for life.
