Obviating the need to restart MSFS when GSX shows an update

Featured Replies

I'm one who did not like the gauche yellow banner that appears in GSX when an update is ready and previous to this simple change I would go thru the several minutes of setup required to get to when it's time to open GSX Menu only to see the banner.  Sure, one can leave it and update later, but sometimes I would forget anyway and again, I just don't like the banner itself.

So all I did was use Task Scheduler to create a basic task to have Live Update run at logon to Win 11.

Cheers

Noel

Good idea, I don't restart my PC often but I do have a habit or running GSX live update and opening aircraft and store launchers before I run the sim.

My recent favorite was when I started an overnight flight, Saturday night, with it updated before I started, and when it came time to land Sunday morning, it was showing the yellow banner/update 😂

This yellow thing is so pressuring, isn't it. 😆
