May 7May 7 Author Removed Prep3d, Thinks others will be ok. When I described what is going on Techy said they have had 2 cases with similar, said will probably take about a week.
May 7May 7 Author First results are in. A data log has revealed problem with internet provider. Early days yet, expect to take about a week but will let you all know the final verdict.
May 8May 8 Author Update: WHile my flight pc is in dock I thought I would put my toe in the water re Orbx. Onmy Laptop. Loaded straight up, no problem.
May 11May 11 I'm probably missing something quickly going over this thread. How were you able to do a chkdsk if all you see is a black screen? Did booting up the PC take you immediately to the command prompt? Hardware: i7-8700k, GTX 1070-ti, 32GB ram, NVMe/SSD drives with lots of free space. Software: latest Windows 10 Pro, P3Dv4.5+, FSX Steam, and lots of addons (100+ mostly Orbx stuff).

Did booting up the PC take you immediately to the command prompt? Command prompt from Start key. Start key is also the only way I can try to access other programs. Onedrive prevents anything loading.. No comments on how to stop Onedrive please, I've heard them all.
May 15May 15 Author Well, so much for the local Techy, fixed a power switch, $340 later and nothing has changed. So, Orbx Central still crashes halfway through loading, Navigraph moving maps has stopped "Moving" now and it goes on.This has to be software related.I thought of getting a new PC but it would be an expensive experiment. I am at my wits end. With Orbx when I go to Task Manager, there there is attempts to load, the last 2 have a green leaf, "Power saver mode?'Now that would surely stuff things up?
May 15May 15 Moderator I take it a new power switch is a new power supply? Why the need to start ORBX Central? Just try launching P3D and report back how that went.No idea about the power save mode issue. Just try P3D for now. Ray (Cheshire, England). May 15May 15 Author Switch on the front panel, wired to power supply.Don't I have to download the items I own to start with. When I launch P3D it's only the default P3 scenery. Am I doing something wrong here? If I click on each of the files I own they will dowload then load into the sim.

A rough number is fine. Ray (Cheshire, England). Can't download now. Normally is Download, very, works. Task manager makes 8 attempts to work then freezes. All these problems started with windows update. Interestingly, no change to windows on my laptop.

Are you presented with that option? Or does it remember your details and takes you straight to the main interface?I don’t understand the reference to Task Manager. That’s only used to terminate a program that might have hung.20 minutes ago, whisky said:About 20 Orbx scenery.Okay. If you’re able to login and see the interface your purchased items will be visible. I can’t recall exactly where. Perhaps someone else can advise. It’s extremely important to set the insertion point for your scenery.cfg. If you don’t ORBX will place them at the highest point. That may not be suitable.Come back when you have access to your account. Ray (Cheshire, England).
