Maddog Anniversary Addition - Sound Packs?

Featured Replies

Are there any add on sound packs currently available for the Anniversary addition? Any on their way?

Immersive Audio is working to update their sound pack to be compatible with the anniversary edition. The last update I saw in their Discord was that they were aiming to release by June. It has certainly been a long wait, so hopefully it arrives soon. I haven't flown the anniversary edition as much as I'd like since I was spoiled by the Immersive Audio sounds in the previous version.

Yep, same here. LOVE the plane but the lack of sounds is just a turn off.

Anyone know what is going on with this? It was in Beta back in February. seems like a long time for a sound pack, but what do I know :-)

A while back the developer had some sort of computer crash where he lost a huge amount of work and basically needed to start over completely. In the meantime he was contracted to make the new sound set for the CSS 737 classic series, so he needs to finish that up first before putting much time into the Maddog. Bottom line is my guess is the sound pack is still several months off.

Thanks.

i think there is a workaround if you own the original version from the orbx shop.

Even if this is my favorit bird i must admit i havent have the chance to fiddle with files :-)

from their forum. this is a straight copy and paste. I did it, and it worked for me. Note it's not perfect. Certain things like wind in the cockpit do not work. Though if you have FSRealistic it will bridge the gap and add the sounds.

In your Community\z_Immersive-Audio-MaddogX-Sound-Immersion-NG\SimObjects\Airplanes

- Copy all the folders and rename them : MaddogX20th83 , MaddogX20th and MaddogX20th88, now you have 6 sets of folders, the old maddog ones and the 20th ones

- copy the layout.json and rename it layout.bak for exemple, that's in case you wanna revert what you did

- copy all the lines, paste them after the last line, before the last   ] }

- Rename all the "path": "SimObjects/Airplanes/MaddogX88/sound/something", or /MaddogX83 or MaddogX with

 "path": "SimObjects/Airplanes/MaddogX20th83/sound/something",

You have to add in between 20th in place of MaddogX88 80 or 83

The objective is for the soundpack to recognize the new 20th version folders inside lsh-maddogx-aircraft folder achitecture
