Friendly reminder for those that disconnect the rudder-interconnect. Change the rudder interconnect to false for better crosswind landings so you don't have to fight the controls against each other. Ask google AI

Just installed the PC12 in MFS 2024.

The tablet doesn't start up when I have loaded the SWS PC12. So there is nothing that I can configure, included the avionics (PMS50, GTN 650/750 etc).

Do other simpilots experience the same problem?

Any ideas for a Solution??

Issue with PC12 tablet is solved!!

Problem was related to former Sky4Sim (including a Z-... file) files that still were installed in the community folder.

Now the PC12 tablet functions !!

Awesome. Thanks for the heads up. Will check out the new update.

I wonder what they updated. Is there a change log would you know?

When you install the PC-12 it doesn’t give you the option of the NAV radios like before.  SWS’s Facebook page showed how to install the radios via the tablet.  However, I had the same tablet problem as Janc above.  At the very bottom of my Community folder I found files named z-LiM-SWS-PC12-GTNXi-EFB-v1.0.1 and also z-LiM-SWS-PC12-LiMEFB-v1.0.1.  I deleted those and now the new tablet shows up.

But, I have a new problem with the 2024 version.  I have no ground steering whatsoever.  I use the Turtle Beach rudder pedals and the only assignments I have for the rudders are the “Rudder Axis” and “Toe Brakes”.  From an outside view, when applying the rudders, the ailerons move but the front wheel remains straight.

Anyone else having this problem?  Is there a fix?

As @Janc and @Meeko indicate, if you still have the old SWS panel folders in your community folder (or otherwise active), then the new SWS PC-12 tablet control over the avionics will fail. [These are the extra panel folders you previously needed to select your desired avionics package.] This is important if you purchased from ORBX whose updater to v1.7.14 does not automatically delete those panel folders. You will want to look for them in the ORBX PC-12 folders and in the Community folder … and then delete the redundant panel folders (after saving a copy just in case). This is true for ORBX and it may be true for other installer/updater programs. You can just check your “updated” packages and trim away any leftover panel folders.

As per Discord:

@everyone We've noticed that after the latest PC-12 update, some users are having trouble using the external GPS add-ons.

Today we'll clarify this situation.

Before version 1.7.14, the PC-12 required the old Panel Mods installed in the MSFS community folder for the external GPS to work. This is no longer necessary; with the new update released yesterday, GPS swapping can be done with the EFB that was added to the aircraft.

Below is a video showing how to do it.

Note that for everything to work, you will need to remove the old panel mods from the community folder; if they are there, the aircraft will not function.

Thank you for the feedback provided last day.

Next month, after the dust from FSReborn's Phenom settles, we will announce a major project that we have been working on for years and it's time to share! More soon.

Ok, now we know what we're doing (removing the old SWS_GTN folders), I love this version! It's great to finally have an EFB in the PC-12 (a true EFB, not the highly limited 'Sky4sim' thing). I didn't even know this was coming. Very happy with it. The external GPS's work great - as long you make sure you don't have any of those old panel folders in the Community folder. I use PMS payware GTN and it works great. Being able to select avionics in the EFB is much better than being stuck with whichever single option you currently have installed.

It flies really well too (better than previous versions), with no strangeness on approach. I also forgot how good the sounds are in SWS planes.

This will definitely be included in my current rotation, which is being heavily occupied by the FSW Legacy v0.1.5.

Well done SWS.
