As per title, in MSFS 2024, my keyboard settings are on MSFS 2024, and usually when starting a flight, I would get the starting screen with "Shift+C" at the bottom of the screen. Now I have nothing and I cannot get into the plane, I find myself looking at the back of the "captain" on the tarmac who perhaps would want to walk around but does not move at all regardless of my commands.

Even starting the flight on the runway does not help, I get a bizarre view looking at the back seats instead of the panel.

Any idea, suggestion would be welcome, after spending two hours on this, I am a bit restless and confused.

This happens to me around once per month. It seems to be a corruption in one of the controls profiles. The profile itself isn't corrupted but MSFS seems prevented from loading it correctly.

When it happens, I find deleting my caches and restarting my machine resolves the issue.

Just to say Bernard, that the restart is essential after deleting the caches as the graphics caches aren't fully cleared until after a restart.

This has always worked for me when I suffer the problems you describe, so fingers crossed it'll get you back in the sky!

Everything OK now after using your tool, I was really getting crazy with this!

Only remaining nuisance is the EFB that comes on the screen each time I press Shift+C, but what I care about is getting in the cockpit and it now works again. I could not find any duplication of command with Shift+C for the EFB, strange but I can live with that.

What's the downside to clearing these caches?

A single longer load time, on the first load after the cache delete. That's it. Everything else is a positive. I do it weekly. After a cache clean I always get better visuals, zero stutters and as discussed above, it can help with controls anomolies and the keyboard not working in the sim.

Is that a general AVSIM image limitation, or just something particular to you own computer setup?
