Even a Vy climb (never mind Vx) needs a good amount of pressure on the right rudder to keep the ball centered. It's not exactly subtle...
Thursday at 11:42 PM1 day Well a Beech Sierra, Sundowner, Piper Warrior and Cessna 152, and 1 hour in a 172
23 hours ago23 hr As a side note, different aircraft of the same model can behave quite differently, and again although I do not have a SEP pilot license even gliders of the very same model can have their peculiarities...OTOH some aircraft require techniques that probably most simmers never explore or even become aware of. I recall the first time I flew the glider I own irl, and LS1-C, and was told to start the takeoff run with full spoilers, and then progressively retract them as I gained speed 🥴I thought the guy telling me that was joking, but indeed he wasn't, and indeed that's the correct procedure for taking off in this model because the turbulent flow from the tug when affected by the spoilers, creates an important swirl of turbulent air that brings the ailerons alive sooner, and that's really important in the LS1 :-)I am yet to find a nice and detailed model of an LS1 in any of the flight simulation platforms I use(d) ... So... as simmers we should be good with acceptable sketches / caricatures of the models we vly(*), regarding how they actually fly... but I tend to be picky / neurotic about flight dynamics accuracy...(*) vly = virtually fly Edited 23 hours ago23 hr by jcomm Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

18 hours ago18 hr There is a refined flight model for the default 172SP: https://store.x-plane.org/C-172S-C-172R-C-172MN-Enhanced-Flight-Models_p_1200.html 7950X3D + 7900 XT + 64 GB + Linux | 4800H + RTX2060 + 32 GB + Linux My add-ons from my FS9/FSX days
1 hour ago1 hr I will wait for 12.5 because many changes are coming, both FM and reciprocating/turboprop/jet engine and systems...
