Important progress: turbine/turbo prop engines, FS 2024

Read through this link, a bit technical for me. What do you think this might translate into for 3rd party dev aircraft? How might these changes improve on what is currently possible for jet / turbine aircraft?

It's pretty technical for me too. My thoughts are that it might allow more accurate N1 / Ng or whatever vs. power readings for us.

For example I remember a thread here some time ago about an aircraft -- can't remember what it was -- that flew well, but the real-world pilots said the N1 was all wrong on takeoff. Hopefully these new parameters, if implemented by the devs, will allow more fine-tuning of the aforementioned N1.

Surely more accurate turbine/turbo prop modeling without having to revert to external code for these areas of the simulation.

It was possible in previous versions of the sim, but the team at ASOBO designed the new model with cuts and simplifications, probably because they weren't really very knowledgeable about some aspects of engines and other systems... Thankfully Petrovich joined the crew sometime ago, started with some important changes to rotary wing simulations and now is continuing to further fine tune, also based on important feedback from dev community.

We're getting there... If only he managed to bring the super ground physics of il2 into MSFS 2024...

AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

From what I understand from reading the post, is that they couldn't go over 100% N1, and now with SU6 they will be able to.
