There are some new medications which can slow the process, but as of this time, there is no cure and there is no recovery. Alzheimer's, as well as a number of other forms of dementia, affect a great number of people. It's sad and it is a sad thing to watch someone slip away into dementia. I've witnessed it more times than I care to think about. Wednesday at 04:13 PM5 days Here where I live I see it all around me all the time. But it doesn't have to b a bad thing. It's usually worse on those around them than it is on themselves.My best friend here, Jerry, has it and sometimes it's worse than other times. We sit in the common living room and tell the ladies that pass by how good they look. He's a real wolf. We watch television and cat call the characters and commercials. Sometimes he forgets where his room is and I have to lead him to it. But I treat him normally and he usually responds well, especially to dirty jokes.Most of the ones who have it respond to being treated normally. I think it's harder on those who watch it happen to someone else, especially a loved one, than it is to the person himself.Noel The tires are worn. The shocks are shot. The steering is wobbly. But the engine still runs fine.
