I remember those days, things were so much simpler! :)

But really, we have so many high-fidelity aircraft now it is an embarrassment of riches. I did not fly yesterday or today because I spent so much time thinking about what aircraft I wanted to fly!

MSFS 2024. Primary Planes: Black Square TBM850, Duke, Baron, Caravan; A2A Comanche; FSReborn Phenom; Fexix A321; PMDG 737-7, 777: Utilities: Active Sky (Passive Mode); BATC, FSLTL.

What is wrong with me??!!!☹️😵

I have the same condition--I bought Phenom 300E months ago and have yet to fly it! And, same same w/ Citation I bought it and prefer Longitude, so it was just a mistake to buy the Citation X.

I am so stuck on my routine which involves Self Loading Cargo, BATC and GSX and what I really want and I don't know if any others beyond Fenix A320 exist is a plane I can walk up the air stairs, open a door, and walk into the cockpit. I got hooked on this ritual a while back when I discovered Fenix A320 supports this and I love starting flights that way with a walk around, then a walk up and into the plane. That aligns a bit better with reality than does Shift-C, though have to Shift-C to actually get into the seat after opening the cockpit door. IFly MAX 8's doors can't be opened from the outside like Fenix's can; and PMDG 777-200LR when its door is open which happens I think automatically when GSX air stair butts up to it for some reason won't let me walk in.

If you click the coat hanger in the cockpit, it initiates the Shift-C and places you in the plane. I also like this feature on the FENIX and it is another reason why it is by far my preferred airliner.

Unfortunate demand for this, being able to walk into a plane as an avatar or what have you, must not be very high else devs would consider it making it happen. It seems like it wouldn't take much to let that happen. Why you run into a wall when you try to walk thru the open door of the PMDG 777 seems like it must be flagged to be treated as a solid object, the open door. And me too-Fenix is my favorite of all so far...all 5...😉

You can now do this with the Black Square Rockwell Commander 114. Not quite the same with GA as it is with airstairs/airliner but you can walk up to the plane, move onto the griptape, and click on the seat area (assuming you opened the doors, which can also be done from the outside).
