I've been waiting for some advise over at the Alpha India Group forum for a remedy to this issue for a couple of months now but there's no come back from them, I'm wanting to install the following flightplans, Qantas Freight, QantasLink, Lufthansa Airlines and Alinance Airways Australia, clicking on any of these in the AIGTM opens them up and the instantly close's, not the AIGTM just the action, I do have a saved copy of all the mentioned flightplans but the same thing happens, they will just not install, so has anyone have any advise as to why.

Their forum is currently offline so I’m guessing that’s impacting on any flight plans.

They should be back in a couple of days.

My advice is to forego their automatic installer and just do it manually. It takes a bit more work, but you get a lot of satisfaction from it.

@doublebubble , I've had AIG aircraft installed for several years and always select individual airlines, never a mass import by continent.

Here's what I do...

1) Launch AIG and select P3Dv5 if prompted.

2) Click Flightplans on the left vertical menu. It defaults to Installed showing which airlines you've installed.

3) Click Online on the horizontal menu.

4) Click "Not Installed" unless already visible.

They're listed in Alphabetical order. You can select by latest first by clicking Season twice. If you prefer only Airlines click the Type column.

5) Find an airline and click the green Install button. After a short delay a separate window is displayed showing a map and routes flown by that airline.

6) Click OCI Install. Another window appears with three options - Back, Configure and Install. I always select Configure. A window appears showing if the model has an available livery. If it doesn't "NO PAINT" appears. I choose to cancel at this point as I don't want a blank aircraft.

7) If an entry appears in the Title column that isn't NO PAINT it should be fine to install. Click INSTALL. The airline will be installed and should appear in P3D.

Hope that helps. If you encounter any issues it's probably down to the aircraft model being unavailable. Report back with your findings.

First, you need to download and install AI Flight Planner: https://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/resources/ai-flight-planner.279/

Here are the steps to install AI traffic manually:

1. Download an AIG flightplan. You can find all these on their forum.

2. The AI file consists of 3 text files used by AI Flight Planner to create the .bgl flightplan file that P3D uses - an airport file which lists all the airports and their coordinates for the flight plans, a flightplan file which contains all the flightplan data, and an aircraft file which lists all the AI aircraft used by the flightplan.

3. There is usually a repaints file which lists all the aircraft needed and the URLs for downloading them. If there is not a repaint file, then just open the aircraft text file and go searching for the AI planes yourself. There are a number of AI aircraft websites such as The Flying Carpet Hub, Juergen's Paint Hangar, JCAI, and others.

4. You'll also need the AI aircraft base models. Many of these are available from AIG, and others from AVSIM.

5. Add the repaint texture file to the AI aircraft model and add the necessary entry to the aircraft.cfg file.

6. Copy the aircraft.cfg AI aircraft entry Title and paste it to the AI flighplan aircraft list. You can use the same AI aircraft for multiple aircraft in the list of you wish. I do this a lot because the only difference between some of the aircraft in the list is a registration# or very minor paint detail.

7. Once you have installed all the aircraft and their repaints and filled in the flightplan aircraft file, you're ready to make the .bgl traffic file.

8. Open AI Flight Planner. Make sure the Target Version is correct(FSX, P3Dv4, v5, or v6). Click "Select FP txt/zip". This opens a file dialog and then you need to point it to the AI flight plan "Flightplans_xxx_xxxxx_xxx.txt" file you want to process. Select "Open" to load that file.

9. The flight plan legs, airport list, and aircraft list will appear in the Flight Planner windows. I always verify that all aircraft are present by selecting from the Aircraft menu "Check For Missing aircraft and Textures".

10. The AI traffic output file and path will display in the bottom window. You can manually change this if you want.

11. Click "Compile" and the Planner will create the .bgl traffic file and save it to the simulator folder(usually the P3D Scenery/World/scenery folder) or whatever path you specify.

12. That's it.

Once you get the hang of this and have lots of AI plane models installed, the process becomes a lot easier and faster.

AIG Manager.

The ideal companion to AIG is AiCompanion. It’s free and available on the AIG site once it’s back.

I use it to check for NO PAINTS and whether airports in flight plans exist in AIC’s database. I’ve added scores of new ones as I’m a bit of a nerd about clean data.

If anyone is interested in learning this aspect let me know please.

Thanks for the detailed explanation, one thing that baffles me is that when I get to the point of clicking on the green install button, if I'm installing the flightplan via the OCI ( Alliance Airlines Australia) that the install window instantly closes hence doesn't install, this happens with a few notably Qantaslink, Qantas Freight and Lufthansa Airlines.

Have you created a login to AvSim Library? That’s essential otherwise the files may not download.

Well in earlier versions of the AIGTM there was a section to do that but with the version I'm using now, which I believe is the latest, there is no provision or check box to actually create an Avsim log on, correct me if I'm wrong.

It’s not AIGTM. That just injects traffic. It’s AIG Manager that determines what airlines are installed. I’m not in front of my PC now but just investigate around the Settings section.

They seem to have done away with the cookies for AvSim Library login. Maybe it's because some models were stored on flightsim.com which remains offline.
