February 26, 200818 yr It's good they had an autopilot and didn't end up in a large bath. Chris Miller
February 26, 200818 yr >It's good they had an autopilot and didn't end up in a large>bath.Good point! :D
February 26, 200818 yr Guess You Could Look At It THat Way....Real Good thing that the passengers woke them up.
February 26, 200818 yr You get what you pay for. The CA was known within Mesa as a "sleeper" and was quite the jerk. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
February 27, 200818 yr With luck, it will help put Mesa's other foot in the coffin...or at least to send the rest of the fleet over to China. Let them deal with Ornstein and his crappy ethics.
February 28, 200818 yr >So you Knew The Guy?No simply heard from some Mesa friends who do know him. He was a BNA based CA who TDY'd out to Hawaii. He was well known as someone who "slept" on the job. It could be worse I guess, he could be using company computers to look for porn......
February 28, 200818 yr Seems kind of strange both pilots would be asleep, I wonder if something else was going on, like maybe an Oxygen problem in the cockpit. Didn't that happen to a Greek airliner awhile back? Thanks Tom My Youtube Videos! http://www.youtube.com/user/tf51d
February 28, 200818 yr >Seems kind of strange both pilots would be asleep, I wonder>if something else was going on, like maybe an Oxygen problem>in the cockpit. Didn't that happen to a Greek airliner awhile>back?they were asleep. there was no problems with the pressurization system. mesa management has sent out internal emails already defending the rest times the CA and FO had and how much duty time they have averaged in the last couple of weeks. they didn't do this out of the kindness of their hearts....
