July 25, 200322 yr Commercial Member i'll let the new fs2004 owners beta test this, since i don't have my copy yet.rcv3.1 build 2205 with fs2004 functionality is available at www.jdtllc.com/v3/rcv31.zipyou will need to download the followingfsuipc v3.04 http://www.schiratti.com/files/dowson/FSUIPC.zipif you use widefs, http://www.schiratti.com/files/dowson/WideFS.zipadvdisp 2.11 http://www.schiratti.com/files/dowson/AdvDisp.zipif you have already downloaded the required files for previous rc v3.1 builds, that's it, you're done.if this is the first v3.1 beta you have downloaded, you will need additional controller wavs, and a few updated wavs for all controllers and pilots. you will need the following (only if you haven't gotten them!):http://avsim.com/flightdeck/rcv3/11.ziphttp://avsim.com/flightdeck/rcv3/12.ziphttp://avsim.com/flightdeck/rcv3/RCWavUpdateFULL.zip JD Read my blog
July 26, 200322 yr Hi JD,what about FS2002, will it work with both FS2002 AND FS2004 or just with FS9 (FS2004)? Regards, Torben Hadler
July 26, 200322 yr Author Commercial Member fs98, fs2000, fs2002, fs2004i even have a version that will work with xplane :-) JD Read my blog
July 27, 200322 yr Really great improvements in 3.1. I did have a glitch thought. I was ascending out of FL190 and I had a Jet decending and overtaking me at my nine oclock about 2 miles out on a parallel course. I recieved 5 continous notifications of traffic until I changed heading away from the traffic.RegardsDennis Waggoner
July 27, 200322 yr Author Commercial Member that will be one royal pita to test/debug/fix/test/debug....:-) JD Read my blog
July 27, 200322 yr JD,I've had this on final with parallel runways. What you can do is go somewhere like KDEN, do a flight from KDEN to KDEN (or KCOS to KDEN), go into slew mode and hang on final, then as an aircraft flies past on the parallel, slew faster until you're at the same speed. You'll get continuous warnings. This works best if landing is going on 35L and R. Hang on final for 35L.
July 27, 200322 yr Sounds like the algorithm needs two conditions:Delta check or change of conflict distance including a check for parallel conflict heading. (If AI is on same heading as you and not closing, assume parallel track. Set unique incident flag so warnings are not repeated after intitial caution.)If conflict distance is closing both in heading AND altitude within specified ranges, you have a hell of a problem coming up. You might adjust the conflict distance tolerances as distinguishing between enroute and within the airport area.Just trying to muddy the waters.
July 28, 200322 yr Author Commercial Member i know what the bug is, found it this morning. haven't worked out how to fix it yet.but i did fix 3 simple buglets this morning, before lunch :-) JD Read my blog

July 28, 200322 yr Author Commercial Member after you get your line up and wait instruction, you are lining up and waiting, right?do it again, when you are told to line up and wait, create a dat for me, by hitting ctrl-shift-;you will then find a .dat file in your rcv3saved directory. you will also find a .flt and a .wx file with the same name in the fs2002flightsmyflts directorysend me all 3jd JD Read my blog
July 28, 200322 yr Nothing happens when I hit "ctrl-shift+;". I double check in my rcv30saved dir and in fs2002flightsmyflts dir.In my rcv30 route dir I found 2 *.dat files: aircraft.dat, rcv3.dat.Also LGAV airport is missing from the "runways.csv".http://jdtllc.com/images/RCsupporter.jpgPanos Georgotas Panos Georgotas
