July 26, 200421 yr I use the PDMG 800/900 with MCP737 from cpflight and recently I added RC3 to my setup. It looks great but I think RC3 interferes with the MCP and PDMG controls. I checked the key assignment and there is nothing double, but when I start RC3 the heading control on the MCP737 don't work anymore.RC3 works on a second PC with widefsAre there more of you who uses this combination?Greetings from Holland Wim Alsemgeest

It must be a key combination for the PDMG...
July 27, 200421 yr psI also saw after a little more testing that only ctrl shift H gives the problem. The ctrl F8 works voor the dec.
March 15, 200620 yr Is there already a solution for the abovementioned glitch? I experience the same thing as Wim described above. As soon as I start RC it seems to "take over" the combination CTRL+SHIFT+H which is used to increase the MCP heading. In the keyboard assignments of RC there are no assignments to this combination. Any ideas how to solve this?Arjen Arjen Nederstigt System: Intel Skylake Core i7 6700K @ 4.0GHz / Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 Xtreme / Kingston 2x8GB, DDR4, 2666MHz, CL15 Microsoft Windows 10 Home
March 15, 200620 yr Commercial Member ctrl-shift-h means nothing to rc. unless you specify it in the keyboard assignments of rc.what other add-ons are you running? maybe they are messing with ctrl-shift-hi'll look at it, but i doubt it is anything i'm doinglaunch rcclick debugload the .plnclick start rcduplicate the problemzip up the .log and send it to me.jd JD Read my blog
March 15, 200620 yr I'm quite sure it is RC4 that is causing the glitch. I start up as normal, using the PMDG 737-700 with no other add-ons started. After loading (on a generic airfield), the CP flight MCP functions normal, including the HDG knob. I then launch RC4, and the knob still works and keeps on working normally during the insertion of the flightplan and the other RC pre-flight preperations. Then, immediately after I push the "Start RC" button, the HDG increase function stops working. This repeats itself every time, no matter if I run RC on the FS machine or on my laptop via WideFS. It must be something in RC, I have no other explanation for this glitch. I double checked my keyboard assignments, and even tried to delete all assignments with exception of the numbers 0-9; the problem still occurs...very strange. It doesn't seem to be a hardware problem of the CP flight MCP, because pressing CTRL+SHIFT+H on the keyboard doesn't work either (whereas CTRL+F8, HDG decrease, can be used normally), and the LED indicators still function normally.I will make a log and send it to you, and hope you can fix it.Could it have anything to do with ADVdisplay? Maybe Peter Dowson could have an idea where the problem lies?Regards,Arjen NederstigtEdit: I just send you the log from this error, I hope it helps. March 15, 200620 yr I think there are not a lot of people flying with the CP flight MCP, let alone the combo with radar contact. And I think Wim Alsemgeest, who originally started this topic also had the same problem.Anyhow, I appreciate your efforts to clear it all up.Regards,Arjen Nederstigt. March 17, 200620 yr Hi,I also have the same problem so it is something to do with RCV4.Ren Bill Miller
March 18, 200620 yr Commercial Member are we talking about version 3 of radar contact? i just noticed that in the headline.there isn't much debugging capability in v3, compared to v4. not sure i know what the problem is. i don't even remember v3 ;-)if it happens in v4, i can probably investigate and fix itjd JD Read my blog
March 18, 200620 yr Sorry, I am having the probelm in Version 4. Didn't notice the RC3 in the topic title.Ren Bill Miller
March 22, 200620 yr OK, the problem is solved, thanks to Graham Crossley on the CPflight forum. All you need to do if you encounter this problem is assign a diferrent (free) key combo to the function MCP heading increase, via the PMDG drop-down menu in FS 2004 (I used CTRL+SHIFT+U).Then go to the PMDG directory in your FS 2004 folder, and copy the file 737Kbd.ini to the clipboard. Then paste it in the CPflight main folder, thereby overwriting the old 737Kbd.ini (just make sure to back it up first, just in case...)After doing this the problem is gone, and the MCP works perfect in conjunction with RC4. The only question that remains is the HOW? How is it possible that the key combo CTRL+SHIFT+H is "hijacked" by RC4 when it is not in the assignment menu?...well never mind, it works now.Regards,Arjen Nederstigt Arjen Nederstigt System: Intel Skylake Core i7 6700K @ 4.0GHz / Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 Xtreme / Kingston 2x8GB, DDR4, 2666MHz, CL15 Microsoft Windows 10 Home
