July 30, 200421 yr >maybe try 4.7, that is what i'm running>>jdNo joy! Maybe a setting in configuration file fs2002.cfg?brownu
July 30, 200421 yr Commercial Member is advdisp docked to the panel. i'm running out of ideas quickly.jd JD Read my blog
July 30, 200421 yr >is advdisp docked to the panel. i'm running out of ideas>quickly.>>jdOriginally, it was docked to the panel but since then I have it floating above the cockpit. Funny, I tried switching to SPOT view before starting Radar Contact but the display went black and switching views would no longer work.
July 31, 200421 yr Commercial Member the next thing to try, is to remove advdisp.dll from the modules directory, and see if you still have a problem. if you do, then it is something else. maybe change the hardware acceleration for directx.anyone else have any ideas?jd JD Read my blog
July 31, 200421 yr Ulysese,There could be the possibility that your AdvDisplay might not be 100% on the panel. I usually have mine in the lower left hand corner of the display, but on one aircraft (I can't remember which), a portion was outside of the main panel .bmp, and wouldn't dock, etc. Shift AdvDisplay about a bit, change the size of AdvDisplay if possible and see if that takes care of it.Cheers,Mike T.
July 31, 200421 yr Moderator Are you running in full-screen mode or windowed mode? Switch to the other mode. Does that resolve the problem?Right-click on the AdvDisp window and choose Close Window. Does that resolve the problem? If all that fails post a screen shot so we can see your screen layout.Cheers, Ray (Cheshire, England). All other occasions AdvDisp is fine without Radar Contact.

The screen goes black whenever FS2002 loses focus (task switch or AdvDisp takes over). I checked and unchecked the PAUSE OF TASK SWITCH but it does not change anything.Attached is JPEG of the cockpit view.
July 31, 200421 yr Moderator Hi,<>Okay. That changes your earlier message that the problem only exists when RC is running. No matter - it eliminates RC and AdvDisp from the problem. It sounds like a driver issue. Please advise if you have anti-aliasing set inside FS2002 or externally in your Catalyst Control panel.I notice you have some non-standard controls on the 737 panel. Are those controlled by another module? If so try the default 737 panel or another default aircraft and see if the problem goes away. It's all a proces of trial and elimination.Cheers, Ray (Cheshire, England).
