December 24, 200520 yr Since using RC4, I have noticed that my anti aliasing seems to have gone to pot! I can see jagged lines everywhere where before it was a nice smooth curve!I have a very high end system spec wise. I'm using the NVidia 7800 GT SLI card.Anybody else found this?Ben Briscoe
December 24, 200520 yr There is a brand new driver out for that card, have you tried installing it yet ? I don't know if this is what is causing your problem, but there are some long threads on the MSFS Hardware Forum on this web site, regarding the Nvidia 7800 and some people have had good results with this new driver. http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_81.98.html
December 24, 200520 yr Hi Ben,I haven't heard any reports of this. All I can think of which is RC related is some interaction between the advdisplay window and your drivers. Try having the advdisplay window open when you aren't using RC. Do you still see the problem? Is everything fine without the advdisplay window or RC running? All the best,John
December 24, 200520 yr Hi Ben,RC doesn't touch AA settings, so it's a curious question you've asked :() Did you go back and check that the AA settings in FS are set to nil, and any AA settings are set through your NVidia settings? Also make sure you are running the latest AdvDisp and FSUIPC from Pete Dawson: http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.htmlYou may if nothing else works, uninstall RC and see if your textures are back to ok. If so, try installing RC again and see if the textures again return to displaying incorrectly.Subs
August 16, 200619 yr I also have this "jagged-edges" problem when using this ADvdisplay and it also affects my frames. It disappears when the window is closed. I have an Nvidia 6800. Any solutions gents?Bilal
August 16, 200619 yr I did not have this problem with a 6800GT with the old adv.disp window.Try the new one included with FSUIPC 3.70 as JD suggests. First disable the old one by within the FS menu bar with a loaed flight clicjing on Modules and clicking on adv.disp until it is not checked. Then click on FSUIPC (after 3.70 is installed) and on the first tab insure multine is checked and (I think) single line or the other option is unchecked. I am not where I can view this right now, but this will enable the new transparent display window similar in nature to the FS ATC window.
August 17, 200619 yr GENTS, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!It works now and no jagged edges!!! For all those running media centre XP's and a similar card to mine, I suggest you all download the latest nvidia drivers "91.XX" or similar, can't quite remember. The reason being, the jagged edges were minutely reduced after the new drivers using the Adv display, but now, I'll use FSUIPC all the way!BilalBTW, An EXCELLENT program you guys have created!
