Unable to import flightplans to EDDF

Featured Replies

Hi all,Yesterday I wanted to fly from LEBL to EDDF so I created my flightplan in FSNav and exported it to FS2004 format. As I imported the plan into RC4 and pushed the "Controller Info" button I didn't see the arrival airport. In the "Load a Flight Plan" window the arrival airport wasn't visible either whilst all the waypoints were. I tried to insert EDDF manually in that window, but with no succes. I then tried to import a previously flown plan from EHAM to EDDF with the same result. Is there anyone with the same problem and can somebody try to replicate this? I would be happy to send you my created FSNav and FS2004 flightplans. Thanks in advance.Regards,Randall

Randall, I created a flight plan in FSBuild (LEBL to EDDF). It loaded into RC4 with no problem. I wonder if the problem is with FSNav? Have you downloaded the latest AIRACS for it?Also, have you run the utility "Rebuild Scenery DB" in RC4 recently. I don't know if that might be the problem, but might be worth a try.RegardsBill

I had an occasion with a Zurich scenery where it supplied an APxxxxx.bgl file. In this case RC4 did not like it (error-57) so I ran the database rebuilder the FP loaded. However at LSZH in 2D cockpit view the runways had disappeared. Replacing the original APxxxxx.bgl fixed the view and then I reran the database builder utility again and all was well.In your case as already suggested especially if you changed any scenery or afcads rerun the database builder supplied with RC.To check if FS NAV is putting out a correct plan, open it with notepad and insure the destination is listed. Here is a sample with important lines noted:AppVersion=9.0.30612title=EDDK to LIEOdescription=EDDK, LIEO <<<<<<

Despite the much appreciated suggestions still no luck. AIRACS were up to date and I already ran the database builder. Here are the contents of my flightplans (by mistake I said LEBL while it was LEMD):[flightplan]title=LEMD to EDDFdescription=LEMD, EDDFtype=IFRroutetype=1cruising_altitude=38000departure_id=LEMD, N40* 28.33', W3* 33.66', +002001.31departure_position=36Ldestination_id=EDDF, N50* 2.00', E8* 34.23', +000364.17departure_name=Barajasdestination_name=Frankfurt/Mainwaypoint.0=LEMD, A, N40* 28.33', W3* 33.66', +002001.31,waypoint.1=Fix01, I, N40* 32.95', W3* 34.50', +000000.00,waypoint.2=Fix02, I, N40* 35.22', W3* 32.83', +000000.00,waypoint.3=D007J, I, N40* 38.13', W3* 32.54', +000000.00,waypoint.4=Fix03, I, N40* 40.29', W3* 31.22', +000000.00,waypoint.5=CASAR, I, N40* 42.03', W3* 28.68', +000000.00,waypoint.6=RBO, V, N40* 51.23', W3* 14.80', +000000.00,waypoint.7=BAN, V, N41* 19.41', W2* 37.79', +000000.00,waypoint.8=LARDA, I, N42* 7.90', W1* 21.73', +000000.00,waypoint.9=LATEK, I, N42* 52.50', W0* 39.42', +000000.00,waypoint.10=OBUTO, I, N43* 9.55', E0* 1.25', +000000.00,waypoint.11=GONUP, I, N43* 27.65', E0* 45.53', +000000.00,waypoint.12=TOU, V, N43* 40.85', E1* 18.59', +000000.00,waypoint.13=GAI, V, N43* 57.24', E1* 49.45', +000000.00,waypoint.14=MAKIL, I, N44* 12.58', E2* 20.38', +000000.00,waypoint.15=GONIM, I, N44* 27.27', E2* 50.53', +000000.00,waypoint.16=MEN, V, N44* 36.50', E3* 9.75', +000000.00,waypoint.17=MEZIN, I, N45* 1.03', E4* 11.75', +000000.00,waypoint.18=LATAM, I, N45* 2.03', E4* 14.35', +000000.00,waypoint.19=ETREK, I, N45* 11.27', E4* 38.32', +000000.00,waypoint.20=ARKOX, I, N45* 26.40', E5* 18.45', +000000.00,waypoint.21=LTP, I, N45* 29.34', E5* 26.34', +000000.00,waypoint.22=GIPNO, I, N45* 33.60', E5* 31.75', +000000.00,waypoint.23=SOPLO, I, N45* 43.73', E5* 44.75', +000000.00,waypoint.24=OMASI, I, N45* 54.37', E5* 58.45', +000000.00,waypoint.25=MOLUS, I, N46* 26.63', E6* 40.77', +000000.00,waypoint.26=SOSAL, I, N46* 33.48', E6* 53.08', +000000.00,waypoint.27=TELNO, I, N46* 46.32', E7* 16.25', +000000.00,waypoint.28=KORED, I, N46* 51.03', E7* 24.85', +000000.00,waypoint.29=KONOL, I, N46* 59.72', E7* 40.85', +000000.00,waypoint.30=BERSU, I, N47* 8.13', E7* 56.48', +000000.00,waypoint.31=SUREP, I, N47* 9.92', E8* 0.65', +000000.00,waypoint.32=DITON, I, N47* 18.13', E8* 20.00', +000000.00,waypoint.33=KUDES, I, N47* 31.25', E8* 51.43', +000000.00,waypoint.34=LADOL, I, N48* 10.00', E8* 57.20', +000000.00,waypoint.35=NELLI, I, N48* 37.67', E9* 1.42', +000000.00,waypoint.36=LOPNI, I, N49* 7.82', E9* 20.52', +000000.00,waypoint.37=PSA, N, N49* 51.73', E9* 20.90', +000000.00,waypoint.38=CHA, V, N49* 55.27', E9* 2.39', +000000.00,waypoint.39=12FRD, I, N50* 5.64', E8* 56.52', +000000.00,waypoint.40=REDGO, I, N50* 6.55', E8* 51.38', +000000.00,waypoint.41=EDDF, A, N50* 2.00', E8* 34.23', +000364.17,[flightplan]title=EHAM to EDDFdescription=EHAM, EDDFtype=IFRroutetype=1cruising_altitude=29000departure_id=EHAM, N52* 18.48', E4* 45.85', -00009.84departure_position=36Cdestination_id=EDDF, N50* 2.00', E8* 34.23', +000364.17departure_name=Schipholdestination_name=Frankfurt/Mainwaypoint.0=EHAM, A, N52* 18.48', E4* 45.85', -00009.84,waypoint.1=EH007, I, N52* 22.15', E4* 44.62', +000000.00,waypoint.2=EH004, I, N52* 21.98', E4* 50.13', +000000.00,waypoint.3=Fix01, I, N52* 18.97', E4* 50.45', +000000.00,waypoint.4=EH036, I, N52* 15.42', E4* 50.87', +000000.00,waypoint.5=EH033, I, N52* 5.85', E5* 3.28', +000000.00,waypoint.6=LOPIK, I, N51* 55.85', E5* 7.75', +000000.00,waypoint.7=LUTOM, I, N51* 15.93', E5* 25.27', +000000.00,waypoint.8=BROGY, I, N51* 10.95', E5* 26.93', +000000.00,waypoint.9=TERLA, I, N50* 40.95', E5* 39.93', +000000.00,waypoint.10=LNO, V, N50* 35.15', E5* 42.62', +000000.00,waypoint.11=PELIX, I, N50* 29.82', E5* 45.75', +000000.00,waypoint.12=MATUG, I, N50* 25.00', E6* 22.18', +000000.00,waypoint.13=POBIX, I, N50* 20.00', E6* 49.63', +000000.00,waypoint.14=AKIGO, I, N50* 18.33', E7* 1.18', +000000.00,waypoint.15=OSMAX, I, N50* 15.63', E7* 19.40', +000000.00,waypoint.16=EPINO, I, N50* 14.50', E7* 26.98', +000000.00,waypoint.17=FFM, V, N50* 3.23', E8* 38.23', +000000.00,waypoint.18=MTR, V, N50* 16.58', E8* 50.92', +000000.00,waypoint.19=Fix02, I, N50* 20.11', E8* 47.83', +000000.00,waypoint.20=Fix03, I, N50* 22.50', E8* 54.72', +000000.00,waypoint.21=Fix04, I, N50* 18.95', E8* 57.74', +000000.00,waypoint.22=MTR, V, N50* 16.58', E8* 50.92', +000000.00,waypoint.23=239FR, I, N50* 9.29', E8* 54.75', +000000.00,waypoint.24=REDGO, I, N50* 6.55', E8* 51.38', +000000.00,waypoint.25=EDDF, A, N50* 2.00', E8* 34.23', +000364.17,

are there two flight plans in one file?

  • Author

No, those were the two seperate plans I was talking about in my first post. I opened them and pasted the contents in one post.

send me the .pln files that don't work. i'll try them here.is it just eddf?did you edit any files in the data directory?jd

BTW, maybe it's wise to say that I use the freeware scenery of EDDF that's available on AVSIM.

[email protected] you rerun rebuild scenery database?john burgess is the scenery guy. my guess, being the programmer, it must be the scenery file that is messed up, and i can only work with what the rebuild scenery database process gives me.i didn't get the attachments. send them again.jd

  • Commercial Member

both plans you sent me load fine.did you rebuild your scenery database? is it only eddf as a destination that has a problem?jd

It definitely sounds like a problem with the scenery being read by makerwys.Randeman, is there an AF2 file in the EDDF scenery folder? All the best,John

  • Author

There is an AF2 file in the scenery folder called AM_EDDF_2D_AI.bgl. And yes I've only had this problem with EDDF as a destination. I'm in the middle of a flight right now, so as soon as I'm finished I'll rerun the scenery database and report back.Cheers,Randall

Well, I uninstalled that particular EDDF scenery, rebuild the database and everything is fine now so the scenery was definate the culprit. Guess I'll have to get along with the default scenery from now on.Thanks for trying to help me out anyway.Grtz,Randall

maybe john can look at the afcad file, figure out what is wrong, and you can go back to using it for eddf.jd
