  1. Thanks for your elaborate reply, Rob. The thing in my case is that I didn't ask FSX to do anything more (or less) to have the pauses totally disappear on me like that. Again, not complaining. Just baffled by these kind of enigma's. Cheers.
  2. Nope. Windows 7, 64bit
  3. Hi gents, From day 1 and even after SP1 (and updates) I'd been suffering the same dreaded pauses (sim freezes from 5 up to 10 mins., after which it continues from where the pause started, but with fuel burned) some other people reported. On longer flights (longer than 6 hrs.) they would vary from 3 up to 5 pauses per flight. It never was a real show-stopper for me and sure didn't keep me from enjoying this magnificent bird, but it was annoying. Now the strange thing is that since the last number of flights the pauses seem to be entirely gone! Strange because I didn't make any big changes to my system or FSX at all. The only thing I could think of that has changed was ASN, which I updated to SP1B (Build 5410). No complaints, of course. Just checking if there are other users with similar experiences. If it's not ASN then it has to be a another great mystery in the world of FSX. A nice weekend to you all and may all your pauses be gone! Cheers.
  4. Don't be fooled. These guys use pretty sophisticated video software and the DO suffer from OOM's. They just don't show them in the final result. ^_^
  5. Would you believe the kid who made this is only 16 years old? Now somebody tought him how to show respect and he really picked that lesson up.
  6. I don't know if anyone else has posted this already, but this FSX video was made so respectfully it gave me the goosbumps. Enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FublfIUNwDk
  7. My pleasure. No need for the capital "s" in "sir" though. I was just as glad to get that tip as you are. Enjoy your flights.
  8. Are you guys sure you have turned on your VHF and the mic? With some panel states they aren't turned on by default. I've been having the same problems but not since I myself got the same tip. All the best.
  9. Could be but I'm experiencing the same thing every flight and in no instance thunderstorms were involved. So for me there seems to be an issue as well.
  10. Well Jacek, I guess there's nothing left for me to do than to trust you huh? I think I will do just that! Thnx!
  11. Hi Kyle, I started with the 'Short' state. Are you referring to the same solution Drumcode made? I will try that on my third flight. Anyway, thnx to the both of you.
  12. Hi all, Encountered a strange problem with the use of Radar Contact in combination with the T7. During my maiden and now my second flight the radios won't tune automatically to the new frequency, eventhough the option 'Tune on contact' in RC is checked. In all the years I've been using RC this never happened before with any other aircraft including the NGX. The strange thing is that it seems to be happening randomely but often enough. Some times it will tune after complying with ATC but more often it won't. My question is if anyone else is seeing this and if it can be related to this magnificant aircraft? Much obliged. 13. Also a big thank you from me John. All works fine now. The next thing I'm gonna do after all your effort is buy the Aerosoft scenery....just kidding. ;) All the best,Randall
  14. Well, I uninstalled that particular EDDF scenery, rebuild the database and everything is fine now so the scenery was definate the culprit. Guess I'll have to get along with the default scenery from now on.Thanks for trying to help me out anyway.Grtz,Randall
  15. There is an AF2 file in the scenery folder called AM_EDDF_2D_AI.bgl. And yes I've only had this problem with EDDF as a destination. I'm in the middle of a flight right now, so as soon as I'm finished I'll rerun the scenery database and report back.Cheers,Randall
