Speech control

Featured Replies

Hi team,With interest I am following the developement of RC4.Currently I am using a simpler ATC program with icw speech recognition ( not VoxATC ) , but I know that when I will be able to control RC4 by speech I will make the step.My current ATC program is controlled by speech through Game Commander as this gives me an allmost 100% respond .Using Ms speech recognition on the other had gives me only a 60% respond. I have read that there are RC users who where going to help with this.Any progress on that ?Best regards,

nothing yet.with your setup, how do you ask for "visual approach" ? is it "november 404 sierra sierra request visual approach"?jd

LOL :-lol My setup is a 747 cokpit real size, so no keyboard there....No place for an adventure display too or it would be on my 11 ft wide screen somewhere in the sky.But to be serious , I want a better ATC program , but also I would like to talk to it and get responds.RC is a wonderfull program but I need to control it by speech instead of keypresses. So it would be : "............. request visual approach"And GC reacts on the "request visual appraoch" With Game Commander I can only assign 3-4 words in a certain order to keypresses but it is better than using a keyboard in the cockpit. The minute that one of the users has been able to combine RC with speechrecognition , I will be the first to buy it.But if certain phrases appear one time as option 1 and the next time as option 4 , than it will be impossible. :-wave

I'm using VoiceBuddy with RC4, hence I don't need to reach for my keyboard. RC basically reacts to the keys "0" .."9" (plus a few other ones). So if I need to request a pushback at the departing airport (key: "5"), I simply says: "Select 5" and then VoiceBuddy sends a key: "5"). As an added feature VoiceBuddy is also able to read back various statements based on what you say (commands you make). So beside freeing me from using the Keyboard I also use VoiceBuddy as my virtual Copilot. When I say "before takeoff checklist to the line", VoiceBuddy reads back the appropriate checklist - no more takeing off and having forgot some important thing :-)There is a free alternative to VoiceBuddy called "Shoot" however I don't know how good it is (http://clans.gameclubcentral.com/shoot/). http://jdtllc.com/images/rcv4bannerbeta.jpgPelle F. Tjenare Pelle!A quick question. Since RC4 needs the keypresses to be sent from the FS9 computer in case of a WideFS setup, that would mean that VoiceBuddy/Shoot has to reside on the FS9 machine as well? I

Hi guys,What I mean is really saying a phrase with 3 or 4 words in it in a specific order and then the speech recognition program will translate that into keypresses. If Rc has the same phrases combined connected to the same key number than RC can be made compatible with a speech recognition program. To say something and then end it with "select 1-5 "is not the way I would like to do it.Just my 2 cents.

it's already coded, but no one to work with. i found someone, so we'll see what develops.jd

That is correct (that VoiceBody/Shoot has to be installed on your MSFS-PC). I run RC4 in a WideFS setup (with RC4, ASV, FS FlightKeeper running on a notebook). Hence my "voice commands" for RC4 are being fed into MSFS, and RC4 "sees these" via FSUIPC/WideFS (in the same way that you otherwise have to use the keys "0".."9" on your MSFS-PC).http://jdtllc.com/images/rcv4bannerbeta.jpgPelle F.
