Off course

Featured Replies

A number of times I've been told by ATC that I'm off course and I'm instructed to turn aprox. 180 degrees. I use FSNav to create my flightplans and checking the moving map and the ND I'm right on my flightpath. Why would ATC think I was off course?Dave FisherCYYZP4 Prescott 3.2e 478p 800mhz 1mg CPUP4P800SE Asus Motherboard1.5 gig PC3200 DDR RAM 400MHZGeforce Ti 4200/128Maxtor 80 Gig ATA 133 HD x2WDC WD800 80 Gig HDhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpghttp://fs2crew.com/linepilot.jpg

you're missing a checkpoint. in a departure procedure you must pass less than 2 miles from the checkpoint, less than 5 miles from a checkpoint everywhere elsejd

Check the dialog window. It shows which waypoint Radar Contact is expecting to go to next. If you have it enables it will also ding when you pass the waypoint so you can be sure it cycled to the next one.

You can elect in the extended menu (9) to proceed direct to the next waypoint in your plan if you are just a little bit off and it makes sense.

Where do I find the extended menu you refer to and where can I find these checkpoints on a map? I am very new to controlled departures and have also been having trouble with the controller even though I thought that I was right on course according to my FlightNav plan.
