January 25, 200719 yr Hi folksI'm using RC4 successfully with both the Aeroworx B200 and DreamFleet's 727 - it's a great product and really adds to the realism. I have one problem which is during pushback. As keys "1" and "2" are already assigned to RC4, how can I make a left or right-hand turn during the pushback phase (normally the "1" and "2" keys in FS9)? It's not such a problem with the King Air, but I can quickly run out of room with the 727 when reversing in a straight line until I'm far enough back to taxi forward and turn clear of other aircraft or buildings. Does anyone have any solutions? Thanks in anticipation.Oscar
January 25, 200719 yr I had a similar issue (needing the "1" & "2" keys), I just made sure that I unassigned "q" and "w" in the sim and made those my 1 & 2 keys in RC. I've done it for so long now I don't even notice anymore.Joe Lorenc Joe Lorenc

January 25, 200719 yr Moderator Oscar,I use a freeware utility that provides a pushback option from the FS9 menu. When I get home I'll post a link to it assuming it's still available.Cheers, Ray (Cheshire, England). January 27, 200719 yr I just bought a program from FSWidgets called Slew Assist for FSX. (19.95). It is easy to use and as far as I can tell, it does not affect FPS. It is excellent for moving a plane in any direction including pushing back, turning the plane in any direction including in flight. Best one I have seen. Check it out if you are interested. You just click it on from the add-ons menu whenever you want to use it and click it off afterwards.See a snap shot of the control panel attached.http://fswidgets.com/index.php
January 28, 200719 yr I had similar concerns, but I made my Radar COntact response keys ctrl + 1 and ctrl + 2. Works like a charm. I still use 7 for the acknowledge key.Ken
February 21, 200719 yr You may also want to check out the Groundhandling Gauges by Rob Barendregt. It's free and should be in the library. It not only handles your pushback, but it can control your taxi speed as well as your parking brakes. It's a great utility I couldn't be without.Anthony @ CYHM
February 22, 200719 yr I agree with you. I think that Ray Proudfoot was thinking about that same software. It is also handy when landing to maintain a certain speed automatically. Roger See my specs in my profile
