I was wondering if V5 will include warnings about wake. I know not everyone has wake effects enabled but RC could be set up so that if an aircraft landed just before you, it will warn you about it. Hey Jd, will heavy aircraft be called heavy in RC5? Plus will the tower confim which runway you are cleared to land on...seems to me that tower always says the winds and that im cleared to land, however the tower usually say which runway you are cleared to land on.Thanks,Bill

you can choose heavy today on the plane screeni just checked, 4.x tells you what runway you are cleared to land.5 will of course alsojd

Thats strange because once approach hands me to tower, the tower has never told me for example "Southwest 55, winds..... cleared to land runway ##", its always "Southwest 55, winds..... cleared to land". Approach was the only that told me which runway I was landing at.Plus I ment heavies for the ai aircrafts.Bill

not sure i know which ai are "heavy", since it depends on weight. some planes are heavy and not heavy, just depends.have you asked for an iap approach or a visual approach?

I have asked for both IAP and visual and still get the tower clearning me to land but does not confirm which runway Im landing at.I can check tommorrow again, but I had many flights already in RC4.3 and I sit and wait to see if this time the tower will tell me the runway, but no joy.Thanks,Bill

Ok, I started to fly the flight again...and forgot to press the debug button...sorry about that...well this time I chose a visual approach to MYNN (Nassu Internatial in the Bahamas) from KMIA. I told by approach to land on runway 14...once I told them I have a visual with the airport they told my to contact tower...the first officer had the comms. Once I was on the tower frequence and told them how far we are out they said:"Bahamas 44, winds 290 at 2"we achnoledgeand then they said:"Bahamas 44, cleared to land"again, they did NOT say"Bahamas 44, cleard to land runway 14"they said the same thing for the aircraft behind me too. Is it just me or does anyone else notice this too.Thanks for helping me out with this JDBill

I do get, "cleared to land runway XX". I'm sure many people would've complained long ago if this phrase was not present and complete. don't need debug on, to save the .rcd file8 miles out, press the ; key, and save a flight. call it jd1when you're done, you will three files in the flight simultor files or flight simulator x files directory with the name jd1, .flt, .wx, .rcdzip them up and send them to me.
