November 2, 200718 yr This isn't as much a plea for help as it is a question about what seems like an open ended feature...Today I got busted for repeated altitude infractions (Yes, they were all my fault, you try hand flying across the atlantic real time and see if YOU make any mistakes!)The Fisdo asked a question at the end and I was wondering... Is there a potential feature involving dealing with Fisdo after a bad flight? Or was that just there to slap you across the face a couple times?
November 2, 200718 yr Commercial Member FSDO - flight standards district officenot sure you see him for just altitude infractionshe's just there to slap you around some more, after doug is done with you :-)jd JD Read my blog
November 2, 200718 yr A real FSDO slap is if you ignore tower on a go-around. His last sentences are "May I have your license, please? You won't be needing that for a while!"It only affects your ego, not using the programs.
November 3, 200718 yr ...Well is there a way of nullifying the 'Busted Altitude' complaints?EDIT; Or a more easier attitude so that as soon as you lose say, 200ft, they don't complain as quick? Dave Taylor
November 3, 200718 yr Commercial Member what's the problem staying +/- 200 feet from your assigned altitude?are you setting your altimeter correctly? depending on where you are flying, you may need to set the std pressure at FL50, or FL100. when you descend below those, it's back to the local pressure.if you think you are being unfairly yelled at, follow the directions at the top of the forum, and generate a log for me to look atalso, you can go to the options, and set the altitude deviation to 300. any more than that, you probably should practice maintaining assigned altitudes as opposed to increasing the deviationsjd JD Read my blog
