I have made a couple of flights with RC4.3 to Casablanca GMMN. It seems that RC assigns me a runway and then vectors me so that I approach it from the wrong direction. For example last time I was assigned rwy 17R and RC listed in its window <17R> 348. And indeed I was vectores so I approached the rwy at heading 348 from the south(instead of 170 from the north as I would expect) i.e towards rwy 35. What could this be?

what version of makerwys is in the fs directory? is there any add on scenery? when is the last time you did a rebuild of the rc scenery database?jd

Try updating make runways. The data I show for GMMN shows one ILS on runway 35 with (as most defaults) an enabled back course. There also are no parallel runways in the default and the data shows this correctly. The current state of the real GMMN shows two parallel runways so I assume you are using Aerosoft's or another version. If it is a freeware version let us know where it is.Here's a link to some public charts:http://www.vacc-morocco.org/GMMN/enGMMN.htmlILSs are on the 35's only. My French is non-existant so maybe if you can get something out of them. I do not see any localizers for the 17s. I don't recall if RC gives you a circle to land (your own navigation) breaking off the 35 ILS.Let us know what scenery you are using and what your charts show.

My memory is that this process should take some time.

I know some french and found them useful as a complement to the casablanca manual (which gave a non working link)>if you can get something out of them. I do not see any>localizers for the 17s. >what version of makerwys is in the fs directory? is there any>add on scenery? when is the last time you did a rebuild of the>rc scenery database?>Now I have tested with rebuilding scenery database and updating RC and still it does not make sense at Casablanca. Weather briefing says that 35L is landing and takeof rwy. RC assigned me rwy 17L. When selecting IAP apptoach and 35L RC says heading is 168 deg instead of 348 as it should be. RC was not aware that I have landed when I was taxing to the gate after landing on 35L.

Hi there,Sorry, I've only just found this thread. I've checked and can confirm there are problems with this scenery. The runway info comes from the file AF2_GMMN.bgl which contains a bewildering set of runways. Why the scenery designer has done what he's done is a question for him but the AF2 file, in addition to the expected runways 17L/35R and 17R/35L also includes the following:35R/17L, length 2625 feet with the heading of 35R given as 164.02035L/17R, length 3937 feet with the heading of 35L given as 164.300These are the values RC is picking up.The AF2 file also contains runways 33R/15L, 33L/15R, 34L/16R, 36R/18L.33R, 33L, 34L and 36R all have headings of around 164.There may well be reasons why the scenery has been designed this way but it appears a real mess :-(We'll look into it but I'm not exactly sure what we can do with so much incorrect information in the scenery file. I've checked how the scenery appears in FlightSim Commander, and it lists all the spurious runways as well as the correct ones so it isn't just RC that's having problems here. All the best,John
