  1. Ever since the hardware upgrade, I have been experiencing sound anomalies while only in FS2002. I updated the nforce2 drivers but it didn't help any. I fly the PSS airbus with FDC and ActiveSky running in the background.Anyone have a possible solution ?SteveCYYZ
  2. HiHope you can help ?The MB is the deluxe with soundcard and I got 2 512's of KingMax DDR400. I also just got a 9700 pro video card.ThanksSteve
  3. What settings have you found to be best for this combination ?Also, should the memory freq be set to 200 with 2 512 DDR400's ?Your help would be much appreciated.ThanksSteve
  4. I searched online for laser engravers, too many options and no prices.:-(How much to buy one of these laser engravers suitable for our purposes ? SteveCYYZ
  5. This is GREAT !!! news. :-)SteveCYYZ
  6. I have almost exclusively flown the PSS airbus since it's release. I think it's a wonderful package and clearly I'm a big fan of the airbus and it's systems. I'm considering purchasing the Dash but it's been hard to gage it's popularity amongst serious flyers by postings in these forums. I'm not asking if it's quality work by Pheonix as I am sure it is :-), but how do other airbus fans like flying the dash and does it now make up a substantial part of their flying ?Usually I would just buy it and try it but money is tight. I have just sold the condo and bought a new house so I will have the room for a home cockpit. Gee!! is this hobby getting expensive. :7ThanksSteveCYYZ
  7. I would like to know if obtainaing a reg code is a one time deal after purchase, or will it be like with the other versions where I needed to re apply after new OS installs ?SteveCYYZ
  8. I wish these guys could do all the airports for FS2002. :-)Extremly frame rate friendly, with just the right amount of detail and the textures are superb. Thank god they have come out with airport #3 cause I was getting a little sick of flying Moncton to Halifax, Halifax to Moncton, over and over. :-lolIt would sure be interesting to see a major Intl airport done by this team. :-)To anyone who hasn't tried these Mosher masterpieces, do a search in the AVSIM library for Mosher and sort by date and there you'll find all 3.SteveCYYZ
  9. Welcome Starman1. Well I'm into commercial airliners so I'll recommond what I believe to be the best offering for FS2002. The PSS A320 Airbus http://www.phoenix-simulation.co.uk/It's priddy much all I fly. Don't forget to read the manuals and fly the tutorial flights. :-)2. To enhance FS2002 clouds and weather get two freeware programs available in the avsim library : - Fs Sky World 2002SE (fantastic clouds)- ActiveSky (download real weather data)3. Now here's two more must have freeware addons to enhance your AI aircraft experience.Go to Project AI http://www.projectai.com/and download all their auto-installers of frame rate friendly aircraft, liveries and scheduels. Also in the avsim library you will need a program called AFCAD. What this does is allow you to add additional gates at airports for all these new aircraft to land. You can also find in the library pre done files to save you all the work.CheersSteveCYYZ
  10. Yes, my hanger sure could use a new aircraft.I'm down to just a few aircraft I find worthy of my time.I'm getting fussy in my old age. :-)1. PSS A3202. SF-2603. C421SteveCYYZ
  11. Hi JimLooking good. I guess this will take a long time will it ?I think someone from the team said it will be very detailed.I look forward to it's release.SteveCYYZ
  12. It's that time of year again, it would be nice to know what I need to budget for this month. :-)SteveCYYZ
  13. Arcade games belong on XBOX or PS2 but I would suggest this version isn't even up to those standards.SteveCYYZ
  14. Hey ElrondI live near it. Get to take the camera and enjoy the activity their often so as you can amagine I can't stand the CYYZ that comes with FS2k2. Rarely fly it it's so bad. So I started my own a while back. Here's a couple pics of the early stages I took a while back.I call it "Pearson Project 2003". It will be modeled in gmax and the NEW Phase. Not much detail here. :-lolHey, I just got tired of waiting. :-)SteveCYYZ
  15. Take it easy Bob :-)I think I explained myself quit clearly, I believe this scenery to be the finest work I've seen to date and this teams contributions extend far beyond this release. When I spoke of trend I wasn't pointing a finger at any particular team, at least that wasn't my intention. Wilco, Lago, SimFlyers and everyone else working on a project seems to be now striving for the scenery with the most gimmicks at the expense of reasonable file size and decent fps. Sad, but I guess this is what sells. It looks to me like we even have developers trying to out do each other releasing airports of which we already have one while we continue to wait for airports like KJFK, KBOS, and CYYZ, just to name a few.Yes I guess I'm one of those few that like addon airports to be modest representations of reality.CheersSteveCYYZ
  16. Hi DanYes, having every switch, knob and a complete flight model is important. :-)I spend a great deal of time working the panel like the PSS A320 of which I almost fly exclusivly, but I don't take the entire tour of an airport everytime I land there. After the first couple walk-arounds I've priddy much seen all the sites. :-)Like I said, I think it's a trend that isn't quit necessary, IMHO.Masterful job on the scenery though, can hardly wait to fly the PSS Dash to TB.SteveCYYZSo I guess we can expect Pearson some time 2004. :-) just kidding :-)
  17. Hey RyanThanks for the file.A year or so ago you were taking your flying lessons, how did they go ?SteveCYYZ(CYTR)
  18. I downloaded and successfully installed this scenery and I will say it is really nice. It will certainly stay on my harddrive. I admit we are fortunate this ones offered free. This team is also active in the scenery design forum many times helping others. Thanks for your hard work and for sharing. :-)However I wonder what ever happened to the simple addon airport. One that can enhance a flightsimmers experience without taking up huge amounts of disk space and require nearly a year to complete. The detail at this airport is truly remarkable and if I were giving out the awards I'd give this one first prize, but are airports like these really necessary ? I realise these efforts are ground breaking and come from a real love of scenery design, but I can't help but think this trend where airport addons have excessive details, animations, ground vehicles, statics, and sounds, is one of the reasons why I'm still waiting for a decent CYYZ Pearson Intl. :-(SteveCYYZ
  19. In particular I would like to get a hold of the airport diagram for Toronto City Centre/CYTZ.Your help would be very much appreciated.ThanksSteveCYYZ
  20. Ahhhh, but I think the statement was about the computer industry not Microsoft. :-)I wouldn't want to run any critical systems on MS software either, although I haven't recently had much of a complaint regarding MS software (XP etc..), until CFS3 of coarse. :-)SteveCYYZ
  21. "If GM had kept up with the technology like the computer industry has, we would all be driving $25.00 cars that got 1,000 milesto the gallon."I guess I'll be the only one here to agree with this statement. :-)Do we forget how far the industry has come since computers used to take up city blocks. They help in the design of amazing aircraft like the Boeing 777, land commercial aircraft in thick fog and navigate ships to Mars. :-)SteveCYYZ
  22. For those that DO NOT use multiplayer and maybe have a Geforce 3 video card. I would only say that this update finaly has given me the great fullscreen antialiasing I expected when I bought it. The difference it has made is remarkable. :-) :-)I disabled AA in display properties and checked it within FS harware settings. Although I don't monitor fps, I clearly am getting better performance.SteveCYYZ
  23. I agree Chris's clouds are great !!Everyday I check out a new set, the are really adding to my simming pleasure. :-)Thanks ChrisSteveCYYZ
  24. XP boots reasonably well with a fresh install but once you add any firewalls and Antivirus software your going to get longer bootup times.SteveCYYZ
