Hey SebaThanks for the tip !It has definately made plane spotting easier. I have found so far that it's more manouverable in slew mode but unfortunately I can only see the atc instead of hear it. Thanks of coarse also go out to the author Dirk Farin. :-)SteveCYYZ

Hey PaulThanks for the info earlier on the GF3.I have another question for you regarding this DDR ram if you don't mind. :-)I am planning an upgrade to XP1900 or 2000 and figure on a new ASUS 333 mbo. I will have to get new banks of ram as I currently have 768mb of SDRAM 133. How much mb of the new do you think I'll need to see the same performance I had with the 768 ?Also is there really that much differance between the OEM and the brand name stuff like Crucial. Here in Canada there's a big $100 differance in price.SteveCYYZ

I wonder if the G4 has much better FSAA than my G3.Even though the picture quality is better in most respects than my previous Voodoo 5 the AA sucks. I hate those swimming lines, they're so disappointing. :-(SteveCYYZ

Myself as well as many others have been spending a great deal of time watching the fruits of our labour, taxi, takeoff and land at our favorite airports. It really is fun. :-)It would be cool if it were possible to visually scan the airport in either direction from tower view. If it is, I'm not aware of a good way of doing it ?Some sort of plane spotting utility would be great !!SteveCYYZ

Howdy Max :-waveI too upgraded last week to a XP1900+ and 8 hrs in the cpu fried. :-(I am pondering the decision to try again and I have been looking at the Soyo K7V Dragon Plus or one of the ASUS mobo's. Did you do some research and why did you finally choose the Dragon ?SteveCYYZ

On my first try at it FPS seemed to really not improve much at all. Any ideas as to why I might not have seen any improvement ?ThanksSteveCYYZ

Update...I have also noticed this occurs at klax, which like ksfo when you go into FS map view there is a tower that can be repositioned. Unfortunately I can't save my change in their either. :-(There used to be a program called Tower View, I wonder if it will work in FS2002 ?SteveCYYZ

Hi Eric Thanks for your reply, you've given me something to go on. :-)Two things I'll try differant.1. I have been flying a few of the same plans over and over so I have been selecting aircraft, loading a FS plan and entering the departure airport. Then I start FSMeteo.2. I have been having a problem starting the pss airbus engines with AI traffic set high. So more than a few times I have gone in and reset the AI slider to 30, started engines, then reset AI back to 70 or so. Maybe this isn't good ?SteveCYYZ

During flights I can hear repeatedly ATC say that many of the AI's are 300' below their assigned altitude an later their IFR flight plans are cancelled.Is there something wrong with the worldAI plans that would cause this ? How would I go about fixing this ?ThanksSteveCYYZ

I asumed incorrectly it seems that when you set the tower position and altitude at an airport using AFCAD that it would always work.But I noticed that on approach into KSFO it still showed the lousy default.Any ideas how I can make a change to towers in AFCAD work ?SteveCYYZ

Hi BruceInstalling OS's is one thing I've done far too many times I'd care to mention. All I can say is, sometimes they go wrong. I even had it go wrong twice in a row once. :-)I would suggest giving it another try.SteveCYYZ

Howdy :-waveAs I mentioned in an earlier post I tried upgrading to XP1900+ last week. Put it on a MSI k7V turbo2 or somethng like that because it would take the 768 mb's of sdram I already had. Didn't think I could really afford the DDR stuff. I found however that I didn't get much of a performance boost in FS as compared to my original 1.333. In fact I didn't notice much differance at all. I ran out and bought it because of the performance hit I got using the new TTools and WorldAI plans. Hi TimDarn, I was really hoping for some kind of fix. I wish I new why other plans work fine ?I would really like to fly on VATSIM but haven't got up the nerve yet. :-) I plan on signing up soon and going to the convention in Toronto, hoping that this will remove some of the mystery.SteveCYYZ

HowdyI'm usually flying the PSS Airbus but I don't think it matters what aircraft I'm using. Seems certain plans I've created when used with FS2K2's ATC, continue to give the same heading change then back to the correct coarse, again and again all through the flight.Redoing the flight plan doesn't fix it. :-(Is there any solution to this problem ?SteveCYYZ

I create my flight plans with fs2002 planner and many of these but not all are messed up in that atc repeatedly changes my flight heading, only to again have me resume own navigation. These plans can be quite annoying. :-(I think this has been discussed some time ago, but can't recall why this happens and how can I eliminate this problem.Need your help !SteveCYYZ

HiI would suggest as I had to, go to top menu, options, ATC and try setting the slider to level that works for your system.When mine was set at 100 I wasn't able to start the PSS airbus engines or taxi. For my system 50% was much better. :-)SteveCYYZ
