I don't know what happened, but all of a sudden the mountains in Europe in FSXSE have been reduced to mere hills. Curiously enough, this doesn't apply to North america- the Rockies look rugged. I have Switzerland Pro X installed. When I fly over the Alps only the nearby peaks are shown realistically. In the middle distance and beyond, the topography is flattened. Weird! The Italian Alps have been reduced to rounded hills My Graphic Settings are high. Mesh is at 5m. In the scenery library the first two layers are mesh 5m, and I have no idea how these got there, maybe some scenery addon. Perhaps it's related to a Netherlands VFR scenery that I installed two months ago, from freewarescenery.com. I took some screenshots, but I have no idea how to attach them here. Eytan ornstein

Wow! Those videos are amazing and educational. Didn't know they existed. So I assume there is a default scenery on the cd's that come with the sim for those who wish to fly offline. The option of precaching scenery is great. My internet connection varies- from 12MBs on a bad day, to 25 on a good day, thanks to my inconsistent internet provider. Is this a range that enable me to fly online and enjoy the scenery? Eytan

I've seen all the great videos showing the progress of FS2020's development. Yes, I was swept away! Now the product is coming out, but I don't understand one aspect- global scenery. How does MS expect to load all that VFR photo realistic quality scenery into the sim? We would need a mainframe computer for that! Is it done by streaming? Separate scenery packages to purchase? I second the previous suggestion. Today there are so many dedicated scenery developers who create freeware scenery at a very high level. Save yourself a lot of dough! Eytan

I have FSX-SE installed. Every time I load the game, I get a series of messages: It starts with scenery.cfg file error local scenery (...\..\Playsims VFRPS\vol 8\vectors in scenery area 151 not found. click ok to continue. And that's repeated 7 times up to layer 158. Only after clearing each message FSX launches. BTW I do not have the VFRPS addon sceneries (northern and southern Scotland) installed. maybe I used to in the past, can't remember. I found a post which recommended using SeneryConfifEditor to solve the problem. I used it to delete those layers, 152-158. but that didn't resolve the error messages, which appeared again. So now I feel I made a mistake by deleting scenery areas in FSX. What do I do? Eytan Ornstein

I've had FSX-Se on my pc fpr a few years now, and it runs smoothly. Except one feature. When I press 'real word weathe'r, I get an error message. "An error occurred while downloading real world weather. Please check your internet connection, etc". I have no issues with my internet connection, so what's the deal? Eytan Ornstein

I get a runtime error 75

Hang on a sec. I ran RC with fsx from LSZH, after loading a flighplan LSZH-EDDF in RC, and starting it. The RC command window appears in the top right corner of the cockpit view, but it does not respond, (both the wx and the clearance requests).

Tried that. All that happens is that RC sinks down to the task bar. When I enlarge it back up, it offers to quit! No registration window appears.

But all I see is the RC user interface, with the load flightfplan, general, keyboard, voices, rebuild scenery, etc. Eytan

I got a new pc with W10 64 bit. Reinstalled fsx-se and downloaded rc4.3 and key generator. After the installation I ran rc once. I read a post that says- when you run rc first time it generates a product code, which then is pasted into the key generator, etc. But where is that code situated? I looked at the rc4.3 folder, but no trace. Eytan

I notice I have two RC folders- rcv4, and rcv4x. When I want to do what you said for rcv4, I get a window saying- do you want to apply this to this folder or...to all subfolders... etc? As to the rcv4x, the unsetting of read only went smoothly. Eytan

Just a small correction to my previous post. The ATC I heard was the default FSX running in the backgound, not RC. Eytan

OK. I managed to install the dll file and register it. Here's what happens now. I start fsx, load a flighplan and hit fly now. I open RC, select flighplan and start. I go back to fsx. The little rc window is there, haleluyah. Press 1, and the wx cmes on. But nothing happens when I ask for clearance. Weirdest thing, I can hear clearance control interacting with other planes near me! Go back to the RC window and the dreaded error75 rcfsuipc.rc4code appears and RC shuts down. I tried running RC as adminstrator, but in windows 10 when I do that, I'm asked to reenter the licence code (which I don't have anymore as RC4.3 is installed and running) So what now? Eytan

I recenetly installed FSX. I downloaded the free RC4.3 from the icloud and installed it successfully. I open up the RC program, choose a flightplan, and hit OK. This error message appears- please install the MSSTDFMT.dll file. I searched the web for it, got it and installed in the reccomended location, but still get the same error. Problem resolved. I right click RC and run as admin. It runs just fine. just wondering, what setting in windows do I change in order to start RC without having to run as admin. Eytan

Hi I've had RC4.3 running great for years, until... My pc was screwed up due to a malware attack. Took it to a shop. It came back clean, malware removed. They also, without asking me, removed AVG and installed Microsoft Security Essentials instead, saying it was good protection. Then I ran FS9 with RC4 and got the dreaded error 75 RC fsuipcrcv4.code. I uninstalled the MS antivirus and reinstalled AVG. That didn't help at all. Still got the error. Ran a registry cleaner- same thing.Tried to rebuild database in RC, got an error message. How do I get this fixed? I have Windows 7 64bit. Eytan Ornstein

I had to reinstall FS2004 and the Airbus series from scratch. Installation went OK. there was that old issue of the flickering cursor, but a Google search provided a quick solution. But now the aircraft will not lift at takeoff. I pull back on the yoke and can see in spot view that the elevators don't move. Or sometimes they do, but it has no effect. I am using the Thrustmaster T Flight X HOTAS. I do not have this issue with other addon aircraft. My only choice is to slew the a/c to 2000 feet and then continue from there on AP. What's wrong?. Harald, Where does the fs9.cfg: hide on the computer? I searched for it, but the "search programs and files" tool failed to locate it. I do use Active Sky v 6.5. I have it on 59 miles max vis. I'll try a lower setting and see how it looks. Misgav
