  1. Hi Guys,After reading your post on the engines problems, I decided to downloaded the B25 and B29 and see if I can throw any light on the matter. I blew the cobwebs of Fly 2k and loaded the aircraft up. Firstly I can hear All the Engine sounds whilst in the cockpit, but nothing at all from the external views. Also there is no change in throttle sound whilst in the cockpit view. ARE these the same issues you've all experienced????Anyway leave it with me and I'll take a closer look and see if I can find out whats going on.Regards JohnP.S. How are you do'in ALLAN not spoke to you for a while (been very busy)...hope your OK.

  2. Hi Guys, Matthew Horridge is a real wizz, when it comes to C++. He's also pretty handy with the Mac as well. I know hes very busy at the moment with one thing and another, but I'm sure he'll point you in the right direction if you hit a wall.regards John

  3. Hi Everyone, Can someone please explain what I need to do in order to create a Needle animation and also a Digit display (Heading). A while ago I seem to remember Matthew mentioning FLASH. Could someone please confirm this or point me to a tutorial. Many Thanks for any infoJohn

  4. Hi Paul,.....How are you keeping?Excellent as always..........Your very quickly making The UK one of the best places to fly in...and with Steves Airports it looks like its got a great future.Keep up the Fantastic WORK....Steve how do you fancy modeling GATWICK??Thanks again PAUL.....for everything you've done for me.John

  5. Hi Dan, BenThe problem I found was that all the spaces between the Taxiways were ALL very different in textures/looks because of the ground textures (specially when the lighting is on) .So I thought if we can underlay the Taxiways with a simple GRASS texture then ALL the spaces between the Taxiways would now be consistant (as real life Airports), I've just created a simple Grass texture for (STEVE - Aragon) to try......Steve if your reading this can you underlay EGCC and post a couple of PICS so me and the guys can see the results.....pretty please...........after All you did beat us at football! Thanks a lotJohn

  6. Howdy.....everyoneJust a couple of Ideas if anyone thinks there possible??1) When certain conditions are met for eg. after 60knots and Thrust is above 70%, angle of attack is 20 degrees.........would it be possible to show a smoke trail from the engines similar to the CONTRAILS effect only a Smoke Colour (I could do the texture no problem).2) How about showing a bloom of smoke from the tyres/tires on touch-down.After seeing oil leaks/fire etc from the wings edge after a Crashed and Burned situation developed.......I just wondered whether these effects colud be amended for the above ideas. What ya 'll think??Regards John

  7. Hi, Dan.................good to hear from you. Thanks for the reply........I've located a Runway file that lists the TIFF files involved in creating the runway textures. I'm not sure about this Dan...... but I think the Hard code only apply's to the Runway threshold. Ive just created a quick texture replacement and it replaces ALL of the runway texture apart from the threshold (see PIC). although it appears not to line-up correctly. As regards to the underlying airport textures......I had a similar idea yesterday (see Pic) which I sent over to Aragon (Steve) to have a play with. I hope this is possible because it will enable us to place some reasonable GRASS textures underneath the Taxiways, which I hope will make the Airport environment a little more realistic, specially on approach.Regards John

  8. Hi Everyone, Does anyone know how the runway textures are created in FLYII and where or how I can search for them in FLYII. I created NEW Runway and Taxiway textures in FLY2k and want to use them in FLYII, however the Taxiway textures are fine and show up in FLYII once placed in the ARTS folder, but the Runway texture does not??? (BOTH files have been converted to Tiff format).Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.Cheers John

  9. Hi Steve,No, not as yet.......I would have thought the Stanchions are easier enough to make though??. If someone could make these so they can be placed in situ...........via the editor....I think they would still make a great addition to the FLY environment (even without the Lights).Steve, I also want to talk to you about the EGCC scenery you've created............which is superb!!.......I basically need to ask a few quections.......If you could send me your Email address I'll be able to show you what I'm talking about.Cheers John

  10. Hi Steve, Guys,A while ago I created some NEW Runway and Taxiway lights textures and created an effect which shows the lights submerged into the aprons along with a Light cast on the ground. All the lights are relative to each other in order of size, However although I'm pleased with the result theres just one more thing I would like to add that would really add to the overall effect.Would I need is someone to produce the Approach Light Stanchions. There would have to be three in total each one slightly smaller than the previous one. If anyone could get a brite light on their aswell then that would be fantastic.Ive attached some pics to hopefully show you what I mean. Please let me know what you think??Thanks for you timeJohn
