Can you give any suggestions?

My real weather update that came with the program is always the same any more. It has been that way for two weeks or more. I have cleared out the internet cache etc, and my real weather rate is set at highest setting. Has Microsoft terminated their contract? Each time I select real weather update, updated each 15 min nothing is changing. Yes I'm at a airport that supports a weather station. It just stop loading current weather a few weeks ago. I fixed it. The problem was with what is called 'transcodedwallpaper' . I renamed it to transcodedwallpaper.old. Anyone having this problem, it worked. Thanks for the replies.

Thats my problem. When I shut off FSX it returns to the windows classic. When I sellect a Aero theme it doesn't work any more. The screen goes black and shows a new unsaved theme black. None of my Aero thems work anymore. Each one will only show a black theme. I ran windows Aero trouble shooter but it didn't fix the problem. Some how FSX seems to have corrupted the Areo themes. I followed the guide to start or restart Aero but it had not effect... This must happen because there is a small section in the quide about it. They need to remove there recommendation from the guide about changing your theme to Basic or classic because once you do, you no longer will have your aero themes available. Now I'm stuck with a black screen which I can't seem to correct. Help please. Black screen is boring. CP

When I was first running FSX I noticed a little info on the right bottom of screen that said something about changing the background for fsx. No problems. Fsx ran fine and when I quite fsx it return to my normal theme. The I read in the guide to change the theme to windows classic. I did and fsx ran fine. But now I can not do anything with the background. It doesn't function anymore. Add picture, chg theme etc. When I try to change the background I only get a back screen. But I can use the windows classic. I googled this and it appears that if you have a program that has a display change you can't fix this. I'm sure someone has ran into this before and can tell me the solution. I don't want to uninstall fsx and install again but I want to be able to control the windows themes. Help please.

Hi everyone, Just two quick questions? For the guys or gals using a z87 Asus mother board has any one just used the AI suite + 4way optimization like Asus's JJ demos at this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BoaAT5TkXc4 . If so, how is it working. JJ does alot of helpful videos and I would like to also know the perfered Video card you are using in your systems as I'm going to order all my parts next week. A/c is xb-70. I'm trying to use the AP to intercept app. With AP engaged it turns way to slow and keeps crossing the GS. I even tried a approach from 40miles out and 30 degree to rw and just will not turn in a short enought time to intercept the gs. In fact if you use the AP durning flight to turn 360 it take forever and covers way to much distance. Max bank is 35. Hope this helps

When you have a aircraft that takes two cities just to make a cord. turn what part of the config file can be changed to reduce this turn radius. If you know how to reduce this radius please explain what I need to change to reduce the radius. Thanks CP

I'M SURE THIS HAS BEEN ASKED BEFORE, BUT WHERE CAN I FIND THE ICAO CODES SO I CAN MANUALLY ADD OR CHANGE AIRPORTS USING THE OLD RWYINFO PRWYDATA.TXT FILE. THANKS

Sometimes when I switch to another aircraft they load fine but without the engines running and I get the 'ctr-e' to start the engines. Does anyone have a solution to this and to why some are running and some are not. Thanks.

I am a bit confuse. I had to replace my ati 4850hd in my computer so I desided to go with nvidia. I removed all ati drv. stuff and installed the lastest nvidia drivers from there web site. I noticed in the control panel there is a section that shows FSX and it has certain settings alrealdy. Are you saying to leave this as is and install the nvidia inspector and make the changes as suggested? Or, do I try to make the changes in the control panel. I must say that currently, my frame rate is much worst with Nvidia. I use to have the frame limiter set at 30 and it seem to work fine in most cases. Now when set to 30 it runs between 15 and 18. Please advise.cp

After years of using ATI I will been getting a Nivda card. I went to the Nvida web site to down load the latest drivers for when my card arives and notice just a small setup file was available. It stated to down load the file and it will connect to the internel and self install what I need.. Not use to this, I use to down load the new drivers and after removing the old, just clicked on the new driver file. Is this the best way for doing this or can I find the current driver and down load to my system and install after the new card install? Thankscp

I purchased the FS Sound to control the volumes, but I can't fiqure out which files control the spot/external volumes.

I would like to increase the volume when in the spot/exterior view in aircraft using 2 jet engs. I have looked at all the lines like combustion 1,2 etc or eng wine 1,2 etc. but have little knowledge of what line items effects the volume when in the spot view. Help if you can steer me in the right direction. Thanks.

I have had all of MS sims since the begining and many addons. At this point other than FS Panel studio, I am considering the following. FS Global ultimate The Americas, or Ultmate terrain USA. Not wanting to purchase both at this time which can you recomend. I am sure both are fine and completly different, but I can only afford one at this time. Let me know what you think of each.. Thanks

These don't have the GPWS sect. They are basicly the BSG conlections and are designed to just stop, hover, and land. They are fun and completely different. Just to much chatter on setting them down because of the hovering. Thanks.

Is this a gauge in the panel file or embedded some where else. I would like to get ride of these annoying announcements. If in panel, I m using FS Panel studio, what should I look for. Please help.KSPI

Using FS panel studio I have created a new window for some gauges. I want to add a Icon in the VC to open the window with a new Ident. When I add a Icon in the VC it does not show up in the VC. What am I doing wrong.

Sorry Pete. Some where along the line I had selected the old "show too tip" option. Unchecked and now it is fine. My mistake? Once again ,sorry?

Now that I installed FSUIPC4 I have a new problem. When I point to some of the gauges I have added the screen flashes to white then back to normal. This occurs only when moving the mouse cursor on to a gauge. This never happened until I installed FSUIPC4. I did a search and could not find any help. Has anyone else had this problem and resolved the issue. If not, I will have to uninstall the program. Thanks.

Ok, here is what is happening. When I press the 'Y' key to slew, it works fine. I can move forward , backwards etc. But when I hit the 'Y' key again to get out of the slew mode, the aircrat zooms across the ramp and is uncontrolable until I again strike the 'Y' key. Strange. This is only happening with this aircraft. All others work fine. Thanks.

When on the ramp, setting still, the 'Y' key to slew causes the aircraft to move forward very fast and you have to hold the brake to get it to stop. What is the cause and how can it be fixed. I just installed the 'all707' file and it is just about impossible to slew while on the ramp. Thanks.

I have just gotten around to flying this aircrat and noticed it does not respond to the trim controls. The nose will not pitch up or down in responce to trim input. I opened the control panel window to view the trim wheel and it does not move as I try to use either the keyboard or joystick. If I place the cursor at the wheel at either + or - I can get the wheel to operate but that is it. All other aircraft trim features work just fine. Is this a known issue and if so what is the fix.
