  2. I'm assuming that just copying the aircraft folder from the old computer, putting that folder onto a temporary flash drive and then placing that folder back into the appropriate place within the new clean install on the new computer is all that's needed, correct? Or are there going to be hidden files like purchase or license keys that will prohibit the aircraft from working?
  3. Thanks LtCarman. At least now I can see what the problems are. Seems to be a bad ntdll.dll file. I'll work on correcting that.
  4. Is there a way to have FSX tell you what is causing a fatal error? I have recently been getting several of these and can't figure out what is causing them. I have most recently been flying in the great Orbx FTX PNW scenery. I have read in their forums of possible issues causing fatal errors, but all I get when this happens is the standard dialog box stating that a fatal error occurred, without any other explanation. Can FSX tell you what the problem is??
  5. Thanks tjrush. After a little bit more internet searching I found those lines to add to the .cfg file.
  6. Hello All:Getting back into this FSX thing now that I built a machine that can handle this beast respectably. It's been a few years since I've been here. My question is that I don't remember what to add or change in the .cfg file to have the autopilot in the Baron (or any other aircraft) only control your altitude but still be able to turn at will without disengaging the autopilot. Any help would be much appreciated.
  7. Hello All:I have never downloaded an AI flight plan zip file until tonight. Truthfully, I don't know exactly where to put the files in the zip file. Do I just unzip the file to the root FS9 folder? I see the zip file I downloaded has *.bgl files, *.bmp files for an aircraft texture, an aircraft schedule as a .txt document. Is there somewhere on AVSIM that has a tutorial on how to handle this stuff? Thanks for any help
  8. I have enjoyed the performance boost that FSAutostart gives before starting up FS9. Now that I have purchased ASV with Active Environment I can't figure out how to reconfigure FSAutostart. FSautostart automatically launches FS9 and then launches ASV, however, after ASV with active environment goes through its process of choosing textures it says that FS9 needs to restart to load the textures. Restarting FS9 causes FSAutostart to go through its shut down process. Isn't there a way to Start FSAutostart, start ASV and choose your texture sets and then start FS9 so those texture sets are loaded into FS9? I can't figure this one out :)Thanks in advance for any tips.ScottGreeley, CO
  9. What kind of software or other such stuff is required to make these outstanding FS9 videos like this one http://www.aerosoft-shop.com/~images/ELBA/Elba.wmv
  10. My problem has been solved! Thank You edam. I followed your link and read the posts and all I did was to uncheck the entry /l:eng under the startup tab in the system configuration utility and NO MORE system32 folder!! I knew someone here could direct us unfortunate souls who had this problem to a solution. THANKS AGAIN!
  11. Hello Steven and Dan:It's been a few days since I was able to return to this thread and review the messages, I was the original poster of the message. After reading all I decided to try your clean boot suggestion and that seemed to rectify the problem as my C;/windows/system32 folder did NOT appear after startup. Now the question is how can I use this info to return to a normal startup sequence? Your time and effort have been much appreciated.
  12. Hello All:This may be the place to ask this question as I know a lot of smart computer geek folks post here Each time I boot up my puter it goes through its cycle and then the last thing it does is display my C:/windows/system32 folder. Is there any way to stop this from showing each time I boot up?Thank in advance.Scott ChenoreGreeley, CO:-)

  14. I just d/l the fs9 configurator program and noticed that I have two different entries for my display device. One says display.device.radeon 9800 pro.0 and the other says Display.device.radeon 9800 pro (omega 2.4.96).0Do I need both of these entries in the cfg file?
  15. I just purchased Photoshop Elements 2.0 and was wondering if anybody could point me in the right direction to find instructions on creating splash screens with that program. I already have the photoshop template file for the background layer and MS logo. I have perused the forums but haven't found any step by step instructions for photoshop. Any help would be greatly appreciated.Scott
