  1. I am getting the exact same thing as described in Emi's post. That is following installation on a new computer (it worked fine before). I could not find any help in this post or elsewhere. Thank you Benny K
  2. Q_flyer, Let me suggest here that if you use both weather engines at the same time (OPUS and ASN) who knows what happens in terms of parameters injected into FSX? Few month ago I encountered the same with the NGX. I had both AS2012 and OPUS running at the same time and got very strong bumping and throwing around to the point I had to cut the flight off in the middle. I believe one cannot use both programs at the same time unless you disable OPUS weather engine. Obviously, I cannot prove that but based on my experience and your description here I think this is the case. Thanks Benny
  3. Well, after a while can report back. I was using OPUS weather when this happened. When running with no sim acceleration, all was fine. Long flights - long time. So I stopped using acceleration mode until yesterday when I first used Hi-Fi just released ASN. This crazy behavior did not occur with ASN and I completed a full flight WITH sim acceleration mod set in the PMDG 777x. Thank you all. Benny
  4. Can this be done in any way? Thanks BK
  5. Maybe the machine cannot deal with it, not fast enough, while as you said, loosing LNAV and VNAV. I did a re-install of the T7 and repeated same route. Again, it happens. It's not the T7 by itself. I tend to believe it's weather related as suggested by Mike above. Once it happens I reloaded the flight from a point 20 minutes back (Autosaved by FSUIPC), reduced time acceleration to x2, added temperature smoothness in OPUS and this time FSX managed to keep the A/C "in the air". I am gonna be headed to the opus FORUM... Benny
  6. It is 157NM from KENAL (as you can see on the screen shot). I think it's on the Himalayan somewhere (North of India). This is why altitude is 8300 feet and if you look carefully in the screenshot you can see the mountain where the aircraft put itself. 25 deg C? In the Himalaya? Don't think so... Anyway, I am using OPUS SW for weather and so far did not have problems with it flying the NGX for hundreds of flights. KENAL N3703.4 E06246.7 N644 122 90 3286 In any event I already re-installed and we'll see the results during the upcoming weekend. Benny
  7. Thanks for that. If you don't use time compression, you know how long it takes... And, monitoring it all the time is out of the question.Do you think it's due to time compression? It happens during cruise and not after TOD. What you see in the screen shot is time 08:28 hours into a 12 hours flight (more or less). Step climb is automatic in my options. Benny That's a good description of what's happening in my case, just replace the MD11 with the T7... I decided and executed a re-install... we'll see in few days how / if this helped. Benny
  8. Right. It seems the autopilot is somehow disconnected as it looses lateral and vertical navigation. However, I wonder why that happens because the screenshot shows AP still engaged.
  9. HUH? Exactly the right response. I am saying that every time I see that... BK
  10. This is really strange and I could not find anything in the forum related to such an issue. 1. It happens only in long haul flights. You can see in the SS that time in flight was 8:28 hours en route EGLL-WSSS. When it happens it always happens in the last third of the flight (Time-wise). 2. The problem: The 777x "Lands" itself in an uncontrollable manner. The engine still running, everything looks good (except of the impact of the "landing" like tail strike for example). See that even the landing gear somehow drops down for landing, all by itself... How can this happen, I wonder. 3. Obviously I do not seat at the sim in such a long flights. I am by the sim until cruise level and then I activate the "Auto-cruise" feature (today I tried x4 only and it still did it) and leave. If I come back too late, the T7 is on the ground (FSX crash detection is disabled). 4. I saved the panel state and files can be shared if required. 5. I can certainly say that it does not happen in short haul flights. Yesterday I did a 3.5 hours flight WSSS-VHHH and it was fine using X16 acceleration. I was sitting by the sim for the time it took (about an hour+). Machine specs attached. It’s not the most advanced rig but 777X runs just fine with the help of EXTREME FSX PC from FSPS. Appreciate if anyone can pick this up and provide a hint as to which direction to go here. Until such time no long haul flights... Thanks Benny K

  14. Hi there, Well after a long time i can say that this has been successful (thus far with one flight over the problematic area without a crash). I have taken several steps. 1. Remove - re-installed FSX SP2: did not help. 2. Removed-replaced UIAutomationcore.dll from version 6.0.5840.16386 to a newer version 6.0.6001.18000. Did not really do anything as far as I am able to judge. 3. The one step which to me seems to be the one is removing SG-LIMC (Sim Giants) scenery. After removing and deactivating the area in FSX the crash went away. Did not yet get to the bottom of this one but at least the indication is that this scenery was the culprit. BennyK
  15. Thank you for the detailed answer. It may take sometime to respond to all that but until then a few questions and my PC spec's Will that action do any harm to the FSX installation? My understanding is that I am not supposed to run FSX without SP2. Indeed my system is overclocked "lightly" may I say. It runs on 390Mhz FSB while the board normal frequency is 333Mhz. Only FSB is modified. No voltage has been touched and this is done via the EasyTune6 which comes with the Gigabyte board. See below image. My machine spec's can be seen below: Display card is Nvidia GTX480 CPU-Z memory is shown here. Personally I can't draw any conclusion ot of this. Regarding overheating: I have an efficient cooler (not a regular one) and it is unlikely it is overheating or the alarm would go off.... Another question I ask myself is, would it be possible that a certain scenery add-on is doing that? Perhaps I should disable scenery packages around that area which might be causing that? Again, I should stress that flying elsewhere than this area does not cause the crash. I had long flights of over 7 hours with the NGX and it was completely stable. Sure enough if and when I have this sorted out I will post it here. Thank you again BennyK Adding Images:
  16. Hi there, I have constant crash of FSX in specific location in the FSX world. The crash looks like this in the event viewer: Faulting application name: fsx.exe, version: 10.0.61472.0, time stamp: 0x475e17d3 Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 6.1.7601.17725, time stamp: 0x4ec49b8f Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x00032e98 Faulting process id: 0xa64 Faulting application start time: 0x01cde00d52221dc5 Faulting application path: F:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\fsx.exe Faulting module path: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ntdll.dll Report Id: 3ed5b753-4c28-11e2-8b8e-00241d7c8fa7 The interesting staff about this is that it only occurs in Europe. I flown LLBG-LFPG. I cannot get to LFPG because it will always crash over Italy (this time around 37 NM SE of a way point called URBAN). The fact is I can fly elsewhere for hours and the sim will not have this crash. UIAUTOMATIONCORE.dll is in place. Any ideas that will lead to a quick solution will be much appreciated. Thanks BennyK
  17. Well, good news. This hint about the DLL.xml directed me to the PMDG technical support page. There I found the article about fixing the dll.xml file. It turns out the file was corrupted somehow. I deleted the following section: <Launch.Addon> <Name>Captain Sim 777 Sound</Name> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <Path>Captain_Sim\777\cs.sound.dll</Path> </Launch.Addon> And added a missing line at the bottom of the file per the instructions in the article... Following that the 737NGX came to life, again. Thank you all for the assistance. Benny K
  18. I used a backup version of FSX.cfg also. Went back one step. It did not help, and maybe I have to go back one more. We'll try later. Thanks for the advice. Benny K I did uninstall this addon. Don't think I will ever use it again... Don't know what you were thinking of buying. If it's this one, then beware... . Benny K

    For 747-8 lovers

For all those 747-8 lovers, go here for some real glimpse into the real 747-8 cockpit:http://www.boeing.com/Features/2011/03/bca_747-8_gauntlet_03_15_11.htmlAnd for the PMDG team: Why not considering an "Evolution" type 747-8?.... I trust it will be consumed like hot rolls of bread.Benny K
  20. Hi,None of you bumped into the DIRECTX® incompatibility message? (Win7 has DX11 installed). And if anyone bumped into this what have you done?ThanksBenny Kupfer
  21. Ryan,This will do the trick? Can we still use ASE and alike? Or if we use third party weather programs we cannot get rid of that?ThanksBenny Kupfer
  22. Sorry, full name is Benny Kupfer...What about the issue? Albeit I found another post where Robert indicated what PMDG guys are thinking about this....ThanksBenny Kupfer (a matter of habbit...)
  23. I am having the same problem as shown in the first post in this topic. Indeed I closed ASE and used FSUIPC only (registered). Did it help? It seems not, or maybe it will after FSX shutdown and fire-up again... In my mind doing it (flying without real weather depiction) makes FSX mostly dull. Can PMDG step up to this issue?ThanksBenny_K
  24. Hi,I have done several long haul flights with the 747-8i. The addon is really fantastic and the sound is great (albeit this problem and the real weather related issues). However, at the end of each flight FSX simply crash. At the end means at either approaching the destination airport or taxing to gate. I get a windows message as shown in the attachement. . The message says (in case you can't read it): "Your computer has run out of available memory. Please restart flight simulator and select different graphics, scenery or traffic settings."I did one flight with the 747-400X duplicating a previous flight with the -8i. It did not crash. however at the end of the flight I tried to load the 747-8 and you can see what happend. My conclusion - 747-8 is causing out of memory situation in my system while this will not be true for the 400X :( My system:- Pentium dual core E6300 at 2.83G.- FSB overclocked from 266M to 300M.- 4G RAM- WINXP Home edition SP3- Nvidia 260GTX with 896M- MB Gigabyte P43-ES3GAppreciate any help in this matter.Benny_K.P.S.: I am pretty much disapointed today due to this and the real weather related issues PMDG A/C are having (or it seems like that).
